I've now used this for everything from removing tannin stains from tea cups to cleaning the oven, removing the grotty grout in my Mum's bathroom, and making trainers look like new. It's non-toxic, so it's safe to use around small children and pets or by those with respiratory conditions. It's wonderful to be able to clean a grotty oven without worrying about the inhalation of any nasty fumes. It's fantastic stuff with the effective cleaning power of old-school Ajax or Vim, but it does not scratch up surfaces like they did, so the bottoms of your nicest cooking pans will look like new, and it won't scratch your acrylic bath. I'm particularly impressed with how nicely it's brought up my ancient stainless steel kitchen sink and draining board. Use to clean stained wood before buffing up with olive oil, and you'll never know the surface was ever harmed. It reeks to high doh of peppermint essential oil, which is weird cos you may have to remind yourself that you are not smothering your hob in toothpaste. However, this pungent scent comes with a hidden advantage since midges, mice, and rats hate the smell of mint. This makes it ideal to use on your PVC window frames in high summer, and your skirting boards at any time. I've found that for all applications, I need less of it than I expected, which makes it not only eco-friendly and plastic-free but much more economical than you'd think, too. It's the perfect product for an era when so many of us are struggling financially. Deffo worth buying if you want to do a proper old-school Spring or end-of-tenancy clean to a standard that would satisfy even your Great-Grandmother. Once you have opened it the first time, always wipe the lid and edge of the tin with a nice, clean cloth. That way, you'll be able to get the lid off again for all future uses. The very tight lid noted by several other reviewers does thankfully loosen a bit over time, which makes it much easier. My 87-year-old Mum is resigned to using my half-full pot, so the lid is very easy to get off, as she has very arthritic hands these days. That gives me the excuse needed to purchase a new pot for myself. Lastly, it is plastic-free, eco-friendly, and non-toxic, and manufactured right here in the UK.
