You get what you pay for
After reading the reviews i decided to buy it anyway, it is definitely very cheap looking and has 2 bulbs facing 1 way and 1 bulb facing the other way so 1 side of the room looks bright and the other side dark.

Cheap and looks it
Just generally very poor. Get what you pay for, I guess. Very visible and badly-made seam (see photos). The internal frame to hold the shade immediately points down from the rim (why?) leaving nasty visible frame shadows in four places around the rim. The three bulb fittings are not equally spaced (see photo) so the light is not uniform. It is also very obvious where the bulbs are because the diffuser material is very thin. It's very hard to mount directly to the ceiling because the frame is hard to clip on. I used a bit of string to pull it sideways from over the top of the light. The light leaks out the top edges, and not uniformly. I've bent the shade frame in an effort to minimise this, but there's a limit to how much you can do this and still get the frame back on.All in all, avoid this and spend a bit more on something higher quality.

Good
I read quite a few of the reviews before buying so I was skeptical about purchasing, but I went ahead anyway. I'm glad I did as this fitting is actually quite good for the price. I paid around £15 for it and for that price I would recommend it. As you can see from the pictures I have provided the grey material is a little transparent when the light is on and you do get a halo effect on the ceiling. Personally this doesn't bother me. The bottom of the fitting does have a cloudy plastic cover which diffuses light nicely. As for installing, I found it quite straight forward. If you have fitted a light before, you can fit this too. A lot of other reviews have complained about the instructions but I found the pictures fairly clear. The shade can be a little tricky to attach the first time but if you look at how it's attached to the unit when unboxing you will understand how to clip it on.

Looks good, somewhat hard to install
I was expecting it to be somewhat hard to install due to previous reviews, and indeed it wasn't easy. I had to hold them up for a long time while attaching the wires, which wasn't the most comfortable thing, and attaching the shade to the metal plate involves a bit of guesswork and many attempts until you get it right. That could definitely be designed a bit better. That said, it was a very cheap shade and it looks great, it does soften the lights enough so they don't bother you but still let a good amount of light out, with 3 lamps, to make a bedroom very bright. If well installed the shade can get quite flush to the ceiling, which looks good as well.I installed 3 Philips Hue E14 lamps, and they're great, letting me dim to whichever level I want. Overall, I like these and would recommend them if you don't want to spend a lot.

Looks good but read the reviews for installation advice
Really like the light as it looks simple but with the 3 LED bulbs I fitted gives a decent amount of light. The base was easy to fit and wire up. Fitting the shade though was epic. There were no instructions in the box and it looks as though you should be able to just push it on. Nope. Hooking one side on and pushing didn’t work. After quite a few minutes of frustration I remembered some of the reviews had suggestions. Thanks for those tips.If you loop some string around one of the bumps on the shade the hook the other bump on the larger of the tow (there is a slight difference) and then pull on the string it stretches enough to to click into place. As others have said it doesn’t sit flush with the ceiling but you don’t get too much light escaping that way. Viewed from further away you can just glimpse the mounting plate. How you get the shade off to replace a bulb is a worry for another day and hoping the bulbs live up to their long life expectancy.

Use string/shoelace to help fit the shade
Hi, like most I initially struggled to fit the shade onto the fitting and was getting frustrated. However, I have fitted it fine now using a very simple method and only drop a star because the instructions, particularly on fitting, could be made more clear. The shade looks great and goes well with my Scandi styling. The method I used: one of the lips on the ceiling fitting is more pronounced/hooked than the other - hook one side of the shade onto that part of the fitting. Just before you do that place a piece of string, or shoelace, around the opposite fitting bar on the shade (on the side which will go onto the less pronounced side of the ceiling fitting). Ensure the string is long enough to pull and only loop it around so it can easily be pulled free. Once the shade is hooked on the pronounced lip side push the other side up (the string side) and keep the string taut - pull the string to flex the bar on the shade and push up to fit it onto the ceiling fitting. Once it's on simply pull the string free. This made the fitting very easy and if followed can avoid much frustration!Hope this helps.

No light bulbs as advertised
Advertised as having 2 light bulbs but none received and box says excluding bulbs. Not easy to fit and slightly flimsy. Looks ok once fitted for what was paid
