I use these as forage toys. I stuff the holes with sunflower seed or other treats. My African Grey loves them stuffed. She does chew the wood. She watches me fill it up..lol..

My eclectus parrots enjoy destroying these spools, fairly cheap, usually on will last 15 minutes until turned to splinters. Probably to small and soft for a macaw or large cockatoo.

We make our own toys for our African Grey parrot. She loves tearing the wood spools and blocks apart. That keeps her occupied for at least a day or two, before we have to make another toy.
