This is the ultimate humidifier BUY IT
It's perfect worth every penny don't look at any others because none of them have this kind of quality the mist goes 4 ft in the air the size was perfect for what I needed the functionality is very reliable up-to-date please read your brochure there are certain things that you have to do with this one but it isn't the chores of the old ones that I bought off Amazon many years ago and all they would do with just hold mold which I have lung disease that was the last thing I needed but that was in the old home we have moved years ago into a new home and unlike my old home this one's kind of dry so in my sleeping quarters I use it during the day when I'm awake and at night I have to turn it off because I sleep with fans and sound machines due to that annoying ringing of the ears and silence might be golden but it's also suffrage...As for me for $7.99 I bought off Amazon and asurion warranty plus if you look at the brochure and you call or contact Dreo go online and set up an account you can register your product now even though I just bought this and the asurion warranty is good....but if you call the company they will extend it for surprisingly x amount of time I do not have to worry about this until 2028 so if you really want to ensure repairs if something ever happened I got double coverage it's very quiet I also have skin disease so when I lay across the other end of my bed the mist is so cool on my wretched skin it's very soothing and it actually kind of cools the room down a little bit as big as it is I can't say enough...The company's customer service I spoke to James who said I could use his first name from dreo...was very helpful as some of us baby boomers struggle with smartphones LOLI was having issues trying to set up an account and all that online business that you have to fool with and for some reason I missed a step and I was doing it wrong and he was kind enough to stay on the phone with me and walk me through it...While there are so many on here that look the same this is the best one and I'm only on day three I'll update if things get squirrely but so far so good and I don't see a problem this is unlike any humidifier...I've ever had and I'm old I had the old Vicks vapor rub ones which I can't stand the smell of vicks....thank goodness also this device comes with a little pop out drawer in the back and they send you two little thick filters if you wanted to use essential oils...In my opinion and my choice I'm not going to be using that option because I don't want to have to have a smell in my room I like clean air I mean every now and then I use a shot of febreze...I can't say enough about this product and the ideal customer service is top shelf impeccable quality while there are many that look like this one this is the one you need to get and yes it was $60...then I spent another $7.99 for the asurion warranty so this is now becoming investment and it's double insured try it I promise you you'll never use another one this is the one I mean the runtime the longevity of leaving it on whereas my old one I was constantly refilling and degunking it and getting mold out of it was such a chore that I finally had enough of...My husband updated me with this and I am very pleased with it and I highly recommend it!!!

Solid Humidifier
I love the fact that this does not require an app. I can set the humidity directly on the LED screen (+/- 5%) and the amount of time I want it to run for. I have not run into any issues with how it functions, the design is nice and compact, so it doesn't take up a ton of space on my night stand. Very functional panel without having to worry about wifi or bluetooth connection. It won't change the humidity in a huge room, so it does need to stay close to the breathing space to help. I have finally been sleeping well again with the humidity changing, and found out that my bedroom was about 15% lower on humidity than my hvac was reading, so I now know why my sinuses were so dry. Easy to use, good value for money, great improvement in comfort. Overall very pleased with it.

UPDATED REVIEW 9/22/25* Customer service +++++ updated version, DREO HM713S was shipped to me.
UPDATE ON PREVIOUS REVIEW:After posting this review I was contacted by a representative from Dreo via email, after just 2 emails an upgraded version was shipped to me. It is the DREO HM713S cool and warm mist Humidifier. I filled it up immediately and plugged in, it is SUPERIOR to the other model. I appreciate their customer service offering me a replacement. It is rare these days when a company does the right thing, DREO came through exceptionally. Thank you very muchI bought this on May 19, 2025, it has not even lasted 4 months, the stream of the mist is merely a puff of mist. For $60.00 it should have lasted longer than that, I did the thorough cleaning to no avail. I have messaged the company, I am hoping they do the right thing, if they do I will update. In the meantime I am back to using my $20.00 generic humidifier.

A better humidifier
The humidifier meets my needs, so I am happy with it. I purchased this one because I had a positive experience with the smaller Dreo 4L (model HM311S) that I bought a few weeks earlier. I should note here that my only prior experience with humidifier's was with basic on/off models of yesteryear. And that was what I was looking for when I purchased the first Dreo. The Dreo just happened to be on sale at a price equivalent to older type device, so it made sense to me to try it. I am glad I did. There are a few things about these humidifiers that you would not necessarily think you need until you have them.First, they are quiet. Very quiet.Second, you can control how much humidity they produce.Third, they have a night light - which is kind of helpful as you get used to where you placed them. The light does change colors normally, but I think you can control that. It's a gradual change and the colors all seem to have similar luminance.Fourth, the footprint is smaller which gives you a lot of options for placementFifth, you can direct the flow forward or back by tilting the plastic output piece.Sixth, they stop running when the water is empty. And when you refill the water, it keeps the settings you had. Both models display the percentage humidity in the room. I think the 4L HM311S model works better than the 6L model HM524 because its reading tends to more gradually change. This might be a function of the room and placement. I am not sure that the sensor can measure the humidity much further than the device - I got the impression that the sensor might be picking up the humidity the device is producing at times (probably because of changing currents due to the A/C running). The pad on the 4L HM311S model seems more intuitive than the one on the 6L model HM524. Though I had no trouble getting either set up for my needs. Both come with some pieces for maintenance that do not attach to the devices. There is some risk that one might lose them or forget about them. One thing to note about these newer humidifiers is that manufacturer suggests using distilled water. Distilled water is relatively cheap as far as purchased water goes, but it is getting harder to find. And if you need to run these a lot, it can be kind of expensive. I ended up using filtered water from my fridge and just clean them more often. It is very possible my choice may lead to an earlier demise, but I reasoned out that it would like cost me way more in distilled water then the device itself. The 6L model HM524 seems to go through water faster when it gets toward the end of its tank. Again, could be the room. These are kind of tall and narrow. I did have a concern that my cats could potentially knock them over. It has not happened. The water adds a fair amount of weight to these so that probably helps. I doubt it would help if they engaged in rambunctious play and slammed into it. Larger animals and small children could certainly be a risk. The room size ratings Dreo provides are likely accurate, but there are a lot of factors that can influence that. It does make sense to have a larger capacity device for a larger area.Overall, I am very pleased with these devices.
