Grow and Paint Your Own Flower Garden

I bought this for my 3 year old i was quite impressed with it until it came time to put it together. He wanted to paint it but it had to be left for 24 hours to dry, not good when you have an impatient child eager to plant his seeds. We ended up not waiting and just moving onto the next step. The bottom of the case has holes in for drainage the soil you have to put in is fine so it slid right through the holes even with having it on a flat surface quite a bit still fell through. We added the requited amount of water which again went right through the ‘soil’ and out the holes making a rather large mess. The more we soaked up the more came out. Instructions said to wait an hour and the soil would expand, an hour later and it looked exactly the same there was no expansion at all and it didn’t ‘turn into a beautiful soil before our eyes’ we ended up having to top up with compost. The instructions also said to soak the seeds for a few hours which by time we had done all of this my son had lost all interest and didn’t want to finish planting the seeds. It is worth having a go but i’d find a way to plug the holes for the initial set up. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, grows.

The “soil” does not expand with the water. Is that normal?Not sure if we will have flowers, but if we do I’ll update you.

This is a lovely planting gift for children. They can paint the outside of the plant pot, decorate with glitter and stickers and then plant a nice selection of seeds. Unfortunately the packaging on our box was ripped and we took the sticker sheet out to find it had stickers missing. It seems that the box had been torn open by a previous customer, they've taken stickers out and then changed their mind. Please ensure products are checked before sending them out to people. A disappointing delivery and gift I couldn't give.

Most of the seeds did not grow.Out of all seeds given only 5 have grown all of the same flower.We followed instructions exactly. My little one was very disappointedAlso the paint did not show up on the purple pot very well.

Not sure about this one. It was a fun activity to set up and create with my daughter, she loved putting the stickers onto the tub and planting the seeds. But only one of the three flower types actually grew. We got sent Zinnia, Marigold and Cosmos, but only the Cosmos grew, so that's disappointing. We didn't bother with the paint as I couldn't see how it was supposed to look good on/stick to the plastic tub. And the soil didn't magically 'expand' either. Not sure how that was supposed to work... So all in all it was a fun project, but the end result was a let down, which is especially sad for a kid who's put a lot of work into it.

The earth doesn’t expand at all. Other then this it’s a good product
