This is a well written book with plenty of photos to help get the authors message across. Good mix of photos and written information. It’s more than a beginners book it goes into a fair amount of detail even for the seasoned archer.

This is a fantastic book for a beginners or a seasoned pro archer. It gives more experienced archery’s tips and refreshes those good habits. If I was a beginner at archery or interested in this sport this would be my go to guide. It’s jammed packed with useful information and it’s in full colour. Most beginners books don’t offer the tips found in this book.

As a beginner to the hobby/past time/sport of Archery, I purchased 4 of the recommended books. This one is by far and away the best of the bunch imho.Very clear and well laid out. I have it close to hand for continual reference.

bon livre pour tous les niveaux d'archer; il faut juste faire un petit effort de traduction mais comme il y a beaucoup plus de publication sur le tir à l'arc dans le monde anglo-saxon.... ça ne m'étonne pas . En plus le format (type magazine) est très pratique je trouve.

Nicely done - goes through the fine points of set up of gear, the trend in technology (and there is a fair amount of technology) and the details that ordinarily have to be gained through hours of instruction. Instruction will still help, naturally, but having this as a guide to prepare will get you started quicker, and if you plan to purchase gear and then get instruction, it may save you a few dollars as well.

A good read before jumping into this sport. Helps to read about this sport as it has many challenges. I generally shoot Barebow. The world of stabilizers and sights just adds to the complexity of a very enjoyable sport.
