The active cooler performs well and keeps temperatures under control during extended use. I tested it under heavier loads, and the system remained stable with no thermal issues. The included 27W power supply is another strong point—it delivers consistent power and avoids the undervoltage warnings that can happen with lower-rated adapters. The case fits well and allows good airflow, and the included cables and accessories are practical and useful. Setup was straightforward, and I was able to get the system up and running quickly. The microSD card is ready to use, which saves time for initial configuration. Overall, this is a well-balanced and thoughtfully assembled kit. First one I’ve ever had. Took to it super fast. Set up the SD on macOS with the image maker and put it together in under and hour? I ssh into it have compiled Rust binaries on it, kinda cool. I just keep it running now, it’s interesting to have an OS on a card. I bought more just to have a few instances. Wondering how stable doing different processes will be.

Worked exactly as it should. The addition of the sd converter was extremely useful, because a lot of people are not going to stick with the initial OS that was put on the card. I've used this for a lot of projects already, and expect to get a lot of milage out of it for years to come.

This is an excellent Rapberry Pi 5 kit. I usually buy all these items separately, but at this price it was hard not to pull the trigger on this one. It includes all anybody would need to start working with a Raspberry Pi 5: power supply, active cooling system with thermal tape, HDMI cables, case, Micro SD card (64GB), two micro SD Card readers and even a small screwdriver. Materials are of high quality too, the card is SanDisk and the powe supply is "GaN", which makes it small and portable. I would have love for the case to be metallic instead of plastic, but it shouldn't be an issue give the fact that the computer is actively cooled. Definitely one of the best RPi 5 kits out there.

The Raspberry Pi 5 is much faster than the 4 or 400, even using a Micro SD card for storage. This kit provides everything needed to get the Raspberry Pi 5 up and running: a power supply, Micro SD card, active fan, a USB Micro SD card reader, a plastic case and two Micro HDMI to HDMI cables. The documentation could stand to be improved regarding the fan and heatsink. It does not mention where the three thermal pads should be placed. I had to watch a YouTube video to find out. They need to go on the memory chip, power IC and the IO controller. The SOC and WiFi chip make contact with the heatsink without thermal pads - maybe heat sink compound would improve temperatures, but I haven’t yet tried it yet. The case could use some minor tweaks. The power button appeared to press down on the Pi’s power button when it is installed in the case. I tried filing the back of the power button, but somehow it flew out of my fingers and I haven’t been able to find it. To provide access to the power button on the Pi I enlarged the hole in the base to allow me to touch it without the power button. Except for the issues mentioned above, the case was easy to assemble and mount the Pi in. Flashing the included SanDisk Micro SD card took two tries with a USB 3 card reader, but once flashed it worked great. Overall the package is priced well for what you get.
