These are so cool (be sure to split them as there are 2 in the package but mine were stuck together as a single thick mat). You put them on your induction burner and leave them there. Put the pan on top and cook with the mat in place. The pans heat as they normally do but now your burner is protected. And when the mat gets hot it changes color.This solves the one problem I had with induction cook-tops. They get dirty and scratched, just like electric cook-tops. But with these leave in place and cook through them, I'm reconsidering getting an induction cook-top when I replace my current cook-top.

I recently got an induction stove and wanted to use cast iron on it but I didn't want to scratch the hell out of it so I got this protector. It came packaged just fine, with no defects, as far as I could see. Getting it out you get two of these. I used one on cast iron that I was using to sear fish and it didn't leave any scratches or any issues with it. All in all, if you want to protect your stove from cast iron this is a great little tool. Note only use it on induction on anything else I can see it melting.
