Kite Integral Version [Blu-ray]

It has a dark and violent tones but I like the story and beautiful animation. No issue so far. Delivered faster than expected.

This is a classic anime now presented as faithfully as possible in blu-ray. It includes the 3 main versions and some bonus features including a short overview on the different version releases.The 3 versions are as follows: Original Uncut (graphic, all "sex" scenes), US General Release (just violence and blood), and the International Release (the worst "sex" scenes censored/cut).I use quotes because they may show the act, but are deliberately not being enjoyed by all characters. This is a dark, violent, graphic show that in Original Uncut form does not shy away from SA and abuse. The story itself can stand without those scenes as the US General Release does just that.Packaging wise, it's just a standard blu-ray case with a laminated slide cover, but this also serves to showcase both of the main cover arts used in previous releases.Overall, this is a Must Buy for any hardcore anime fan, or any fan of the darkest stories that can be told.

Even though some scenes had missing film elements, AstroRes upscaling fits seemlessly with the remastered footage.This Blu-ray release is my first time watching Kite. Watched the uncut version. The action scenes are superb. The sex scenes are kind of perfunctory and too brief to be really titillating; if they're not to your taste you can watch either of the edited versions on the disc: no sex and nudity in the general release version, some sex and nudity in the international version.Bottomline, this is a must have for fans of Yasuomi Umetsu and action anime in general.
