Good product
On our third week of tumbling rocks now and the results are looking good, comes with good instructions and a sample of grits, as well as some rocks to tumble. Was simple to set up and can hold a good amount of rocks too, a smaller one would probably work better for beginners. It’s a tad noisy so is living in the garage!

Brilliant
Works very well so far as had it on for 4 days to date. I have noticed the device moves forward at speed 3 very gradually overtime so I would keep that in mind if placing on a small table and is left unattended for a long period of time. As expected can be noisy but kept in a spare room you won't notice its on. Very pleased and works wonders on crystals and pottery shards. Looking forward for up coming project's with this device. Also comes with spare belts. Great! Thank you!

Simple To Operate and Shows the Benefit of Patience
I have always fancied a go at rock tumbling, especially as even common rocks and stones can look really pretty when buffed and polished. This box comes with everything you need to get you started. Right down to some jewellery findings to display your polished stones. The basic premise is you put your stones, ceramic pieces, water and polishing grit (comes in 4 different grades) in to the barrel. Set the unit to run for several days and then repeat with the various sizes of grit. The instruction booklet is really helpful and nicely illustrated as well so you can simply get started.I was impressed that it does come with a screwdriver to help prise the metal lid off the barrel. The lid fits really tightly so you do need to be careful when doing this and take your time. I found releasing it around the lid a bit at a time before prising it off worked really well. You also need to unscrew the black "lock" in the middle of the barrel before removal.I found set up to be really simple and the operation of the machine itself is really straightforward - to be honest the labelling of the buttons on the front mean you can figure it out even if you can't find the manual.I do appreciate the inclusion of a sieve for when you are emptying your barrel out. The grit is one time use (as you would expect) but it is relatively easy to get hold of additional packets or jars of it. The ceramic pellets do seem tougher and I just picked any out that seemed irretrievably broken when I did a test run on the unit and rinsed off and kept the rest.Operation does have some noise but it is surprising how quickly you get used to it in the background. Perhaps as well because it takes a number of days for each of the 4 steps to a smoothly polished stone. Certainly great for teaching the art of patience.

not worth the time, effort or energy cost in my opinion
After seeing these on social media i thought it would be a great fun activity to do at home with my kids - everything you will need is included aswell some gemstones to tumble but we opted to stick some of own in too. It was really easy to set up and get started but i was very shocked to find it takes almost a whole month running to complete the cycle - which running 24hrs a day as following the instructions is extortionate in current electricity prices so we will not be completing that. Its advertised as low noise however whilest running in out outhouse behind 2 doors we could still here the bashing around and often the rubber would make a high pitched squeel. Its not worth the time, effort or energy cost in my opinion
