Very good sharpening system with a few minor drawbacks This sharpening system is overall excellent, with many advantages and only a few small issues worth mentioning. Pros - It’s compact and lightweight, making it easy to store and carry. - It offers three different sharpening levels and two leather strops. - If you know what you’re doing, it’s very easy to find the correct sharpening angle. - You can use two different grits to work faster, or the same grit on both sides depending on your needs. - It’s ideal for curved blades, which are usually difficult to sharpen on flat surfaces. - There are plenty of detailed YouTube videos showing exactly how to use it properly. - The leather strops are high quality, and with a good stropping compound they deliver excellent results. Cons - The angle‑adjustment system is helpful, but on certain types of knives it gets in the way and prevents sharpening close to the handle. - Someone with no sharpening experience might need a bit of time to understand exactly how the system works. Alternative suggestion As a complementary tool, I recommend the Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener WSGFS221. I own both and use them together with great results, but each one on its own is more than enough to keep your knives sharp.
