Berserk Volume 42

Great addition
It got me emotional knowing volume 41 was Miura’s last. The story has been through so much and it gives me hope to see Mori continue his legacy. There isn’t as much action in this one but there was a lot more emotion felt in each page. Seeing Guts loose almost made me cry. He’s been through so much and he’s rewarded with even more loss. I loved seeing the character development from the black swordsman arc to where we currently are. He was originally the edgy Midwest teenager coming out of a Hot Topic with a spiked choker around his neck and skinny jeans. Fast forward to a more selfless character who understands the strengths and limitations of himself. While he’s filled with rage and anger, he trust the people around him because he’s only one person.I hope to see this story come to an end sometime, but with the length it takes to produce one chapter, I’d be surprised if I’d even be alive before it ends. It’s truly a piece of work

Hopeful for the future of the manga!
Good continuation of the manga, all things considered! Hopefully, Kouji Mori and the rest of the team at studio gaga involved can maintain the quality of the adaptation after Miura's passing.

RIP
Though a legend is gone. The heart of the story lives on. May it be this way until the very end.
