Great Nib, but…be Careful when Cleaning!
The worst thing you can do, is allow ink to dry in any of these types of pens. So, be a good pen owner, and keep them clean (or use an ink that doesn’t dry on plastic/metal parts at the very least).I would highly recommend NOT disassembling this nib, or any of the other tiniest ones, if you can help it. If you can keep up routine maintenance on it, just put it in cleaner to soak a bit and use a bulb syringe to clean it out. If you take it all the way apart, be VERY CAREFUL not to bend the tiny wire that fits inside the nib!Ooops too late? Then do your best to straighten it out, gently place it back into the assembly (point down), and jiggle it until it drops down into the nib. It will work, but maybe not as nicely as it did when it was new.I’m glad there’s a place to buy just the nibs! These are still my favorite pens to draw with!I gave it 4 stars because I’m not sure the quality is as good as it used to be, and I’m a little disappointed that there hasn’t been any innovations in the design of these pens over the past 30 years.

I use this size pen tip in my planner / diary of daily events !
I have used radiograph pens for years ( 1991 ), with different color rings & lids ( for different color coding entries & ink ). I love these pens, this size is less likely to clog-up & very fine lined ( to fit into small areas, with bold colors of ink ). Pen tips do wear out eventually & you need to replace... but they will last for years if you clean them regularly ! They do take some upkeep ( cleaning regularly before refilling ink ), but well worth it !!! I bought an ultrasonic cleaner years ago to help clean them faster, and bought the proper pen cleaning fluid to clean them good. They are archival ( the ink ) and will last for 100 years or more !

Great professional pens
As an illustrator, I have used these pens for well over 30 years. They were well designed and have stood the test of time. the tips are interchangeable, and each pen has a refillable cartridge. There is some maintenance required to keep these in good shape, In the past I would soak my points in ammonia, but there is a kit available to clean them as well. I have mainly used India ink in mine but have also used colored inks....all worked well. The tips come in various sizes, from a heavy line to very fine. You can purchase the whole pen and add separate tips, or buy each pen with its own tip. I recommend these to the serious illustrator and also for zentangle artists, actually for anyone who does detailed work

Tip fits perfect and easy to install
I was skeptical if this tip would work with my Koh-i-noor pens but they worked perfectly. Very easy to install and worked immediately. So happy I found just the tips and saved myself some money because that's all I needed was to replace the tip!

exacting pen width and great ink flow
I have been using these for years...architectural drafting and freelance drawing. Wonderful...the ink flow is exact per point width...used them on mylar and various papers...the best! They should be well cared for cleaned after use and stored properly.

Needed it
I needed this nib to help rebuild my old set. It works and looks like the original nib. Oh! The nib works but make damned sure you clean it after using. It is surprising how fast ink dryes.

I am a professional pen and ink artist and have ...
I am a professional pen and ink artist and have used technical pens for almost 40 years. They used to last longer but of the technical pens Kohinoor is only maker that makes 0000 and 000000 size

Such a waste of money
I bought this Koh I Noor .18 nib for my latest drawing project. Not even a week later, my pen failed me. Even with all the cleaning measures taken such as using the bulb syringe and soaking the nib in EZ clean solution overnight, I could not revive it. The .13 and .18 Koh Noor offer a great clean line but the reliability is terrible because of consistent clogging. Another design flaw is the weight inside the barrel. This weight has a fine wire attached that regulates the ink flow. Some advise to remove during cleaning but I heavily recommend not to. Feeding this wire back into the nib is like threading a needle in the dark and if the wire is not inserted properly, inevitably the wire will become bent and your pen is FUBAR.
