Got this to replace my Surface Dock 1 because the HDMI started cutting in and out. This one works almost perfectly.Pros+ Connectivity. This dock connects quickly. As soon as it is plugged in the monitors start up and the mouse/keyboard/drives are available. Super fast. There are enough connections for me to have everything all in one place for excellent workflow in the office.+ Sturdy. This dock is built solid. It doesn't feel inferior in quality. The cords are durable. The power block doesn't get hot. The dock has some heft to it so that it stays in place even if I move my Surface around.Cons+ For whatever reason, the USB C will not really charge my phone when it's connected. It should have enough power for fast charging, let alone regular charging. But it basically trickle charges my phone. No matter what USB-C I connect it to. The USB A charges it faster. Not a big deal, but a little frustrating.

I bought this to be portable. It weighed 2x as much as advertised due to the fact that they did not weigh the power pack. Otherwise it worked as advertised. This has a power pack the same size as the device.

Charges my laptop. OK have a weird issue occasionally where the resolution on my 4K display goes in and out it could be a limitation of the unit itself not sure otherwise good product been happy with it.

My GF just started a new job, and unlike pretty much every other serious enterprise in the world her new employer uses Surface laptops, and assigned her a Go 3 laptop. Aside from the fact that MS hardware is a joke their docking station connector is, of course proprietary. Instead of being able to use the industry standard Displaylink Thunderbolt 4 dock we already had in place we had to order this overprice hunk of crap. And of course the fact that it has the proprietary connector means you have virtually no flexibility in cable routing and cable management.If you're unlucky enough to own a Surface laptop and need this, you need it. But the fact that this turd is even needed is an indictment of MS in general.

The IT dept. at my work decided to deploy the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 to the field technicians in my dept. and I was given one to take it out in the field. Since they didn't have any docking station for me to connect it to a 34" widescreen USB-C monitor, I was very happy to see that this worked flawlessly to connect the notebook to the monitor along with 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports I gained.
