Even when brand new and clean, the water doesn't flow very quickly through this - but that's probably just what one should expect from a proper filter. If it wasn't putting up any resistance, it wouldn't be filtering. This is a nice, tiny, easy-to-pack, lightweight, easy to use filter. It won't help much with dissolved chemicals, viruses, or heavy metals but it is very effective at removing bacteria, protozoa, and other common parasites found in untreated surface water. And it doesn't add a nasty taste like treatment tablets can. I love all of the options that are available to use with this. I use it with the squeeze bottles to top off water bottles while camping, but you can get gravity feed systems and many other things. Comes with a nice backflush syringe for clearing inevitable blockages / flow limitations if you have to use it for water that isn't completely clear.

The small 16 oz soft pouch included with the kit can be fragile and prone to tearing if squeezed too hard. Must be prevented from freezing once wet, as freezing can damage the filter fibers and render it unreliable. Haven’t had to test it out but I feel pretty confident that it’s going to work

I bought this to filter the fluid in lava lamps. It works perfectly. So I'm sure it will work for water. VERY easy to use takes no time at all.

I bought this to filter contaminants out of the liquid in a vintage Lava-Lamp. [Not it's intended purpose.] It worked great, no leaks and it pulled all the stuff out I wanted to. Easy to attach a 20 oz. plastic soda/water bottle to the threads. No leaks, and it drained most of the liquid back out. Some probably got absorbed by the filtration fibers inside.

Very pleased with the sawyer mini water filtration. It was very easy to setup with my waterdrop bag. I thought the flow was incredible. It only took 7mins and 21 seconds to filter 1.5 gallons of water. I think it’s a great value for the price to get 4. Platypus filters are extremely expensive so this was my alternative for a person on a budget. I like how you can hook it up to a bottle or stick a tube in it. I highly recommend this filter to anyone. Excited to use it camping. Plan on getting another tube so I can put it into my water containers. The water drips on the floor was from me playing around with it.

Used it on a foreign trip to filter tap water and it works well.

Contrairement a ce qui est annoncé. Non compatible avec les bouteilles d'eau..essai sur 3 bouteille différentes . Ou cela ne se visse pas du tout ou cela fuit. Le but était de l'utiliser avec une bouteille en plastique pour filtrer de l'eau par pression sur la bouteille. Impossible.

I bought to replace the one I had. After reading the instructions on my first one I realized I stored it in a place that got cold in the winter (froze) so not to take a chance on beaver fever I bought a replacement. These are great filters! I won't use any other. I value my health.

Works very well - at least appears to! No problems yet and quick enough to easily fill a pot or bladder, if not a bath!
