3-Pack -- YES, 8-Pack -- NO... Same Brand, Same Description, Different Tape
I purchased the 3-pack of Hampton Adams Medical/Athletic Tape and it was good stuff! I needed more since I would be doing tape jobs longer than expected and I purchased the 8-pack this time instead. It's the same brand with the same description, however this product was inferior to what I received in the 3-pack a few weeks earlier. I thought I would be saving a little money by getting a volume discount, however it was just a cheaper product. While it's still fairly functional, it just doesn't stick as well and requires using a little more.

Doesn’t stick well
Not worth the money. I bought the 8 pack to buddy tape my sprained finger. Due to my schedule, I couldn’t get to my workout and was only using it at night. Good thing too. It would stick all night, but it would not stick just using it during the day and especially if it got wet. So if I was in my class and I sweat, the tape I feel would be useless. It would fall right off. Even just wearing it to stabilize my finger during the day it would peel off in an hour. The tape I got from the 99 cent store had more residual stickiness but it would hold when wet and during a workout. The store war just out of stock, so I tried this instead. I returned it. No point in keeping it if won’t stick.

Definitely less tacky than last year
They definitely changed the adhesive that is on the tape. It's more glossy and far less sticky than last years. Very easy to remove and unroll, meaning in can barely stick to itself anymore. The pic shows last years on the left and this years on the right. The right is more glossy.

Used for rock climbing - great tape
I spent a long time reading about all of the different tape options on amazon and went with this because it had the best reviews, and for good reason. I don't know why some people say that it doesn't stick to itself, because it does, and very well. I use it to tape up my hands, wrists, fingers, etc for rock climbing and it is awesome. It is way better than another brand my boyfriend has, but his is also kind of old and I assume that effects tape negatively. I also keep this tape in my first aid kits to use for everything, in fact I have my wrist tapped up right now from a cut from glass yesterday and it works great. It will also be ideal for taping heels to prevent blisters in boots, etc.

Great Tape For Hook-Grip Weightlifters
I used to get my tape at Academy Sports. It was made by Cramer. It came off by the middle of weightlifting workouts. I tape my thumbs and a couple of other fingers because the knurling on an Olympic bar will tear your skin up over time. Then I tried this tape. Wow! Thicker, sticks the whole workout, and easy to tear from the roll. This is the best tape I have ever used for lifting workouts--and I have been lifting for decades, now being 71. Simple great tape at a great price. I will be a regular customer.

Excellent Value With Strong Adhesion, No Residue
I bought this tape to protect my toe I injured during Brazilian jiu-jitsu BJJ practice (turf toe). The tape is of excellent quality (see the attached photo), has strong adhesion, easy to tear and leaves no residue whatsoever even after the two-hour practice with lots of sweating/rolling. It may seem it is a bit more expensive compared to other products on the market, but considering the quality of this tape, it is an excellent value for the money. Would highly recommend it.

Crazily Hard to Unroll
I bought this tape because I thought the Mueller brand left too much sticky residue, but Hampton's tape turned out to be nearly impossible to unroll, and I'm a large man. It is either wound too tightly or the adhesive is too strong, but either way it is a real chore unwinding it and the end you hold usually gets so stretched and distorted by the pulling pressure that it has to be cut off. Too bad, because the tape does seem to leave less residue. But I ended up throwing most of the order away---and saved my wrists a lot of strain. I wouldn't recommend this brand unless you have forearms like Popeye---back to Mueller for me.

Certainly good for the price (18.95 at time of purchase)
Pretty impressed with these for the price. Had purchased them for a kinesiology exam for some last minute studying. The tape rips well (is perforated) sticks reasonably well and is neither too soft nor too hard/rigid.Our university's lab materials are certainly nicer, but at a much steeper cost. If your learning/ or studying something like an Athletic Training exam these are perfect. I'm sure they're great too if you just use them recreationally (although as we all know ;) you shouldn't be taping yourself), and perhaps maybe even if you're working for a low budget highschool or something like thatIf You're a professional/ work for a better funded team, I'm not sure if they would workout. But as a recreational athlete/student they were great.
