I bought this because of a recommendation from a close friend that just had a newborn. My baby isn’t due yet, so I haven’t gotten to necessarily use it with a newborn. I have set it up in the baby’s room for when he does come, & I’ll say the overall design & build quality are great. The ease of use seems pretty straight forward and easy, if there some things you can’t understand..a quick skim through of the manual will solve that. It’s probably anywhere from 5-15 pounds, so it’s pretty easy for anybody to move around, making it easy to move it from babys room to living room etc. The cushion/pad it comes with is high quality material and seems so comfortable, that I wish they had one in my size 😉 There are plenty of different swinging paths, sounds and modes to choose from, & I thought the baby cry sensor was a very useful idea for dads and moms that are constantly busy with other things, and having something to just help you for a few more minutes while getting things done is a plus in my eyes. Overall I would recommend to anybody..and will include any additional comments once my baby is here and we out this thing to use!

Pros: * Excellent quality and comfort: The swing is well-made with thick, organic padding for superior comfort, ensuring your baby feels secure and happy. * Easy to use with one-button cry detection: This convenient feature allows you to activate the swinging motion with a single button whenever your baby cries, helping to soothe them back to sleep. * Quiet and smooth performance: The swing operates quietly and smoothly, providing a peaceful environment for your baby to relax. Cons: * Requires constant power, no battery option: The swing needs to be plugged in at all times, which might limit portability compared to battery-powered models. * Limited color selection (personal preference): Currently, the swing only comes in one color, which may not suit everyone's nursery aesthetic. * Cry detection may have a slight delay: While the cry detection feature is helpful, it might not be instantaneous, so there could be a brief pause before the swing activates. Overall: * Definitely worth the price for convenience and peace of mind: Despite the limitations, the high quality, comfortable design, ease of use, and quiet performance make this swing a worthwhile investment. It provides valuable assistance for parents seeking downtime for chores or extra sleep.

I have my third set of twins in May and this is the best baby swing we have ever had. My first two sets of twins hated their swing, but it was because I bought a cheap one. This is money well spent. Our twins love them. The cry detection setting is also amazing, it will sense the baby is crying and change motion and song. So far, we have had no issues. We have two houses and I currently own 4 of these swings! I would not settle for anything less. Again money well spent!

Edited**** Graco sent new base and it does the same thing. Would not buy this swing again and now im trying to get my money back. I imagine the jerkiness of the swing could be problematic for a newborn. Im sure these will be recalled eventually. Would not recommend this. Until Graco fixes there issues. First order - baby was due in March so I ordered the swing day after Thanksgiving while on sale. I asked that it be shipped in Amazon packaging so it couldn't be seen when it was delivered and sitting on my door step. The box comes, each piece of the swing is through into the Amazon box, no packaging what's to ever, just pieces inside. Talk about pissed off. Idk who would of even thought to take it out od the originally box and packaging and throw it into another box like that, unless it was a return that was sent back that way. 2nd order- after I returned order one, I ordered another but did ship in orginal packaging. Item came exactly as it should. Baby comes Feb 26th and here I am March 17th writing my review. The swing itself is a cool idea. It's space saving. I like that the swing seat itself can be moved to whatever position you need. Now, the cons of the swing. After not even 2 weeks of using it, it started "knocking" and by that it would like jerk back and forth when swinging. Shortly after that started it started making another noise in the motor area. The swinging itself also started to slow down and sometimes not even swing at all but then would start trying to swing again. It was weird. I contacted Graco directly last week and they said it sounds like it has a problem (obviously) and I had to send a video and other info but they are sending me a new base with motor. It is said to be here tomorrow which is super quick. Ill come back with an update after I get the new one. Also, my Amazon return window it now closed so we shall what happens with this possible faulty swing.
