Original Umbrella Stand

This item works great. It is very sturdy and heave duty. Was larger and heavier than expected. I bought it to use with this umbrella https://a.co/d/9ONxCB6 and it didn't work quite as I expected because this particular umbrella has 2 screws at the end of the pole that didn't fit through the stand. The bottom part of the umbrella was removal so I removed it and went under the stand; however, it still didn't fit at the height that I wanted it (very low since I was on bleachers) because the umbrella's mid adjustable part is too think to fit through the stand...basically, it's best used with a standard umbrella or flag pole. It's such a great item though that I decided to keep it. I'm positive I will have many other uses for it.

I didn't actually know something like this existed until I searched for an alternative to the normal umbrella stand for our deck. I didn't want to take up a lot of floor space and this works perfectly. I'm so glad I ordered before it sold out. I also ordered a 7.5' umbrella and it fits great in the holder. This makes our deck look great and adds some shade. Definitely worth the price, very heavy duty and easy to set up.

I would buy this again, yet it is kinda super heavy duty. Maybe that is good! :) I enjoy using this with my giant black and white golf umbrella (sorry, I dont golf, not any good at it!). It is an impressive unit. I camp a lot and this works great at the picnic table, to keep the sun off while sitting and cooking there. It is adjustable, but only before you put it on the table. Update: I was able to order another and it arrived promptly in time for my trip and was in great condition. We love it and will get great use from it! I returned the one with chipped paint and received a full refund. I purchased this after seeing one in use by another person at my sons baseball game and asked them where they got it. I plan to use it this weekend (starting tomorrow). I was disappointed when it arrived to find that the paint is chipped in at least 3 places. I don't have time to exchange it before my trip. I know this is cosmetic and won't affect it's function, although I do not know if it will rust where the paint is chipped. This item is quite heavy for it's size, making it feel very sturdy. It came packaged in a plastic bag, in an amazon box with a few pieces of air bag fillers. The box had a hole in it.

Although they are difficult for me to attach to a table and then remove, they do hold the umbrella. However, I bought 2 of these and within 1 year, the weld has broken and the bench buddy is no good anymore. I purposely bought this brand because it looked strong. All it takes is a bit of wind and it’s toast. I’m dissatisfied. Should of lasted longer IMO. Wish they had a better warranty.

I love this! I am a baseball mom and I recently downsized my car. With downsizing my car I needed to find a way to get rid of my wagon. I use this with a beach umbrella that I just picked up at Walmart and it works great! Space on the bleachers is always overlooked and now that I have this and a bleacher chair, transportation is a breeze. I love watching the other families working to out up their canopy which takes multiple people and oh my is it heavy. I can do this by myself in under 10 minutes. (It would most likely go faster if I would stop talking to people). This thing is heavy duty! It will far outlast the umbrella. Run do not walk to get this product. Buy the bleacher buddy, get your trunk space back, rule the world.

As a plein air painter, I spend long days outdoors in all types of weather. My big beach umbrella is one of my most important pieces of equipment. I tried wimpy little clip on umbrellas, bigger clamp on umbrellas, and for the past several years I've used a beach umbrella portable stand/holder I created from PVC pipe, rebar and bungee cords. It worked for most locations but required pounding several stakes into the ground (didn't work on pavement), and had to be weighed down if there was any wind. I knew there had to be something better out there, and was hopeful when I found the bench buddy here on amazon. I have been beyond happy with this product! I have attached the bench buddy to my wire "old lady" cart that I use to transport my painting supplies, and it is awesome! I can leave it on the cart, so it's super fast and easy to slide the umbrella pole in and be ready to paint in seconds. It's a snap to unscrew the bench buddy from the cart and move it to another location, and the umbrella holder will adjust to whatever angle you need- it's easy to use, heavy duty, and won't scratch up whatever you hook it to because it is lightly padded on the connection point. It is heavy for its size, is heavy duty, and looks like it will last forever. It's the best big umbrella holder I've ever seen, and I'm thrilled to own it. It works! I give the bench buddy two enthusiastic thumbs up, 5 stars, and my personal recommendation.

This is an incredibly sturdy piece of metal. Easy to use/tighten and I have no concerns that my umbrella isn't securely in place. It just survived a couple of days of high winds without any noticeable sag or tilt. My only complaint is that the fully upright position is not at a complete 90 degrees. It is ever so slightly off and is only noticeable because it doesn't align perfectly with the railings on my deck. I won't return because this is the perfect solution for my tiny deck (I didn't want to take up valuable deck real estate with an umbrella stand on the floor) and this holder is completely perfect and well built in every other way. Worth every penny.
