I have gone with talktalk mobile on a rolling contract its 200 txts and 100mins calls for £3.50 a month and I have taken my no. with me. I had a pay as you go and it was getting to expensive.I am a pensioner and I don't use my phone a lot also this phone is excellent and simple to use.but if you want to use pay as you go just get a sim card for the network of your choice and to answer your question no its not automatic
