Well worth the money

This set is okay for what it is. I wouldn’t say it’s of brilliant quality; it feels a bit disposable, mostly being made of cardboard supports and cheap plastic. However, you can set up a game of Connect 4 quite easily. In addition, there is an 8 x 8 checkerboard which you can use to play checkers on. I probably wouldn’t pay a lot for it though, as there are many more solidly built travel games available.

The Quokka Magnet Connect Four Game is pretty disappointing. I was looking forward to taking this on our travels but it's not fit for this purpose at all.The game mentions it's magnetic in the product title but there is nothing magnetic about this game at all other than the weak magnetic closure of the box. The pieces are made from plastic or card and there are lots of small pieces which means this weak magnetic closure box is not fit for travelling at all as if it's knocked just a little it opens meaning all the pieces would be lost and the game over.The game is frustrating to put together as the board stands up by two thick card pieces that slot into the board. None of it fits together very well though as if you don't get the card pieces exactly in place the board won't fit in the game box and it's hard to get the card pieces to fit on at all without worrying they'll break as it is so tight to get the plastic game board in. There are also no instructions so I had to come back to this amazon page just to find out how to put it together.Once it's set up the game is just as you'd expect it to be. The counters are quite small but they fit in nicely. There is a small picture on them which I think is meant to be a fish but I can't be certain.This is a nice idea for a game but it's not great for travel and it's frustrating to set up. With some improvements it could work but currently it's three stars from me unfortunately.

This magnet game is pretty cool! It's also kind of nostalgic as I remember having a similar game when I was younger. This set comes with two fishing rods with magnets on the end of the "fishing line." The box that this toy comes in is the actual fishing pond as well! There are pictures of fish tanks and my child uses the fishing poll to pick up the animal (octopus, fish, shark, etc) and then places them in the tank. It does require hand-on work as well from the child, as the magnet is strong and does not release when the animal is placed in the tank. The fishing rod is literally just for grabbing the animal and then moving it from the "gen pop" of animals to a tank. The case that this toy comes it is also magnetic and colorful which makes it easy to close and take with you. The names of each animal is on the back of each pictures as well, so this toy can actually grow with your child as they learn more. Our plan is to have the names show and then ask our child (eventually) to match the name with the animal. I will say that this is definitely for 3-5 year olds, though young kids can play with the rods for learning how magnets work.

The QUOKKA Magnet Game is an excellent travel companion for kids, especially during a plane ride. My child, who is 5 years old, absolutely loved the 3-in-1 combo of Chess, Checkers, and Tic-Tac-Toe. The magnetic pieces are sturdy and stay in place, even with some turbulence, making it perfect for air travel. The game board is compact and easy to carry, fitting nicely on a tray table. The games are age-appropriate and offer a great mix of fun and learning, helping to pass the time while also keeping my child engaged. Highly recommended for any road trip or flight!

This is a travel version of the popular game Hangman. You have a magnetic board with 80 letter magnets. Its a good size for in the car travel times. The age though I think would be older than 3 as you must have a bit of spelling skill for this game.The little hangman character is colourful.. heads up there is no letter z.Compact and fun.
