Buy Alien: The Blueprints 1 by Graham Langridge (ISBN: 9781785654954) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Likely essential purchase for Alien fans - If you like the Alien films, you are very likely to appreciate this. Wonderful detail and in couple of cases, fold out pages for large ships. Nice write ups as well. Recommended Review: Does what it says on the cover - All of the major vessels and equipment of the Alien films detailed and described. It's notable that the level of detail after the initial two films, falls off a cliff. But then, so does my interest really. Recommended for all those obsessives who want to know where Nostromo's engine room is, or exactly where Brett had his fateful close encounter..

Amazing purchase
I do not know why only few things were ever published for Alien blueprints, considering the amount of ships and bases that were shown in the movies (including Prometheus and Covenant). This book (which is quite big) is of an amazing quality and it is dedicated to illustrate all the machinery, ships and bases of the Alien universe, in detail with list of components also illustrated. It is a must have for fan of the movies but it is also a must for those who play the Alien RPG, this will produce a lot of interesting info for you and let you show to your players the ins and outs of the areas they are visiting. The price is low when you think about the quality and quantity of the info inside this book.

It’s a great book that’s got all the schematics on how the towing vehicle Nostromo pulls a platform.
This is a great book this is how and where it all started. This book has not just a blueprint but it just is insane how big it’s basically a tug boat pulling a platform that is automated just like the processing stations fully automated even has its own engines. It uses the time what it takes them to get back to process. About 100, million tons of Ore they found a way of processing it using it using 0G methods, it’s all there all the artwork. It’s a real special you get to see the size of the processing station and when you see the size of the Nostromo it’s tiny compared to the processing station and they don’t even need to go anywhere. They basically take off the planet or asteroid field is filled the hold on the ship for massive ones at the bottom of each tower. And they start to tow it get it up to maximum speed and back to earth once it’s back there it takes about a year or 18 months. It’s just about an 18 months round trip. But the company have been looking for any sign they’ve already got the go, but that isn’t in this book. The signal and every Mo.Th.Er. Quantum computer .

Great book
Great value for money, and if you like the alien series you'll receive a very well presented accurate plan of the all the scenarios in each film of the saga.

Indespensible guide for fans of the Alien franchise
"Alien: The Blueprints" is a collection of brand new blueprints and technical drawings covering all of the major vehicles, ships, locations, and technology of the Alien movie universe, from 1979's "Alien" to the most recent movie "Alien: Covenant", and everything in between. Presented in one impressively oversized hardback edition composed of 156 pages, each movie is presented in sequence and provides forensically detailed information on the likes of the iconic UD-4L dropship, M577 APC, the Nostromo, Sulaco, Hasley's Hope colony building, the Betty, and the Prometheus, with additional notes and commentary regarding the production of the sets and props for each movie, and with a couple of huge fold-out blue prints for some of the larger vehicles. In terms of complaints I really have only one, that being that by far the most detail is expended on the first two movies (lets be honest, they're your favourites anyway!), with the subsequent film not receiving quite the same level of detail. Despite this, the book is an important compendium for the Alien fan that is best enjoyed alongside the likes of the Colonial Marines Technical Manual - another excellent read!

I bought this book, cracked it open, and immediately felt like I’d just hacked into the company mainframe while a Xenomorph was two decks down. The detail in these blueprints is so precise, I’m 99% sure if I handed them to a shipyard, we’d have a fully functional Sulaco by Christmas, Pulse Rifles sold separately. The fold-out schematics are a religious experience. You don’t just look at the Nostromo’s engineering deck, you can smell the coolant leaks and hear the clanging boots in the air ducts. The Sulaco? She’s all here in clean, gorgeous line work, like the world’s most beautiful IKEA instructions (except if you mess up Step 12, you get chestbursted). And yes, even the Covenant’s in here, for the heretics among us who actually liked that movie. I’ve now spent three evenings pacing around my living room with the book open, gesturing at cross-sections like I’m briefing a squad of Colonial Marines before a bug hunt. My wife says I’m “obsessed” and “you gotta quit runnin’ your mouth ‘bout made-up spaceship cargo limits while we eatin’.” but guess what? This is important. If you’re the kind of person who pauses the movies to figure out where the airlock actually is, or who has ever yelled “That’s not where the medbay is!” at a bad video game adaptation, you need this book. Just be warned: once you own it, you’ll start planning imaginary hypersleep journeys and wondering how much it costs to insure a UD-4L Cheyenne dropship. Game over, man? Not even close.

If you are a fan of the alien franchise you need to have this. I have spent hours looking at every detail, replaying the films back in my head in an attempt to better understand where & how certain events happened. The book spares no detail & is full of extra info. on each ship/vehicle/building. For $27! A heavy, hard cover collectors item.
