Cheap yet... good?
The HDMI out isn't fantastic, it's limited to only 4k 30hz which is pretty ehh. If you're on a mac it'll force you to use the TV output as 4k 30hz. The usbs, there are 3 of them, seem quite good, very nice to give apple the finger and use my usb A devices. There isn't a power USB C port, or any USB C at all, which is a bit of a bummer, but who cares, you can spend more if you want that.It has an SD card reader though, which really is quite useful, 2 of them, ones small ones larger, which means if you have a microSD and an SD you can use them both at the same time..It gets warm though, oddly.

Excellent fully-featured dock for a Surface Pro 9
Bought this as a dock for my Surface Pro 9, and it's been perfect so far.I needed a dock that has:* 5 x USB-A for external keyboard, mouse, Jabra, and external USB ASIO sound interface and MIDI keyboard* 1 x USB-C for external SSD drive* Ethernet port* Headphone jack* Long cable so that I can put the dock on my desk when connected to the Surface Pro 9's inconveniently placed Thunderbolt ports. As I have a lot of devices connected, I've used an additional external power supply connected directly, and have had no problems at all. I've run music software, playing VST instruments live, reading sample files from the connected USB audio drive, using the external audio + MIDI interface, over this dock with no problems at all.I've not needed the two HDMI connectors or VGA port (or card readers) yet, as I use a separate Thunderbolt -> DisplayPort cable using the second Thunderbolt connector on my SP9. The headphone adaptor worked fine when I tested it.The unit is compact and not too heavy, considering how many adaptors are built in.So far I'm absolutely delighted with this - it's a perfect dock and excellent value for money.

It Works with a Surface Pro 7
It does work with a MS Surface Pro 7 (i7), 2x 1080p HDMI monitors and a handful of USB devices when used with one of thesehttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08HD275TV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1However, there are a few issues - none of them critical but need overcoming to get it to work.1) It's trial and error getting the USB C connectors the correct way round to support both USB 2/3 recognition and Surface Pro 7 Charging. . I thought USB C was reversible, it seems not. It seems that not only is the hub to machine connection orientation critical, so is an extension lead for this connection. It takes a few seconds for the surface Pro to detect charging so it's easy to incorrectly assume it's working or not.2) The integral lead to plug in the device really isn't long enough. It does not seem to engage easily to get that satisfying 'click', although it will with a little persuasion. It's very unwieldy to have so many cables "floating" from this device to have this device so close to the screen. With the screen tilted for viewing, the hub won't lie flat and hangs from the screen with heavy trailing cables from all directions. An extension lead really is a must. I used BluTak to fix the hub and all the cables to the under the of the desk with the USB ports facing forward at the desk edge. The Surface Pro has just the one USB C cable, very neat.3) The HDMI circuitry inside the hub uses power from the hub's power supply, not the device. The hub gets quite hot. I suspect that the Surface pro only just gets enough power to keep charging whilst 2 monitors are in use, but it does charge, so all seems well. The power to the monitor circuit is not used if monitors are not plugged in.4) the 2 HDMI ports will allow extended desktop on both monitors. (1080 P, 4K not tried)5) it is possible to charge a USB power bank without starving anything else.6) The Microsoft Surface pro charges seems to also provide additional power for charging the Surface Pro whilst in use, however the hub needs it's own power supply.7) The headphone jack works. I have not tried the ethernet, USB C or VGA outlet from the hub. I have not tried full 4K monitors.I think I would buy a larger power supply (75W minimum) if I was buying another one of these. I can't justify why as 65W device does work reliably, however it would make sense if USB power hungry devices were used.As an alternative to the official docking station it is a much more economical solution particularly if using HDMI monitors. It would have got 5 stars if it did not get so warm and inspired a little more confidence.

Compatible with HP EliteBook 845 G8 Notebook PC
I'm writing this review just to let other users of HP EliteBook 845 G8 laptops that this docking station is compatible.I was really worried it wasn't going to work as it wasn't listed in the compatible list nor the incompatible list and I hesitated for a while.I wanted a proper HP cubed docking station but they are all on backorder for months and nearly 3 times the price of this one. This does the job perfectly. I have 2 HP monitors connected by HDMI, a scanner, external HD, Jabra, ethernet all connected, and it was simply plug and go.My only complaint is (a benefit to frequent travellers I suppose) is that its so lightweight it moves easily all the time which can knock the display connection so it disconnects for a second. I have to learn to be still and to tie all the cables up to ensure I don't knock a cable and consequently the docking station by accident. I'm considering buying another one for office use but I don't think our IT department will like it if they catch me using it.

Super easy set up
Wanted something that would connect my hdmi and vga monitor leads to my laptop. This works seamlessly and takes up very little desktop space. Very pleased with this.

Reliable, sturdy, compact, cheap
My company has purchased roughly 40 of these and counting. They have no trouble driving two 1080p60 monitors, power delivery and Ethernet works fine, etc. they are made of metal and quite sturdy, and the price is right. The one downside is that the USB-C cable is very short. Consider buying a USB-C extension cable depending on the laptop/desk layout. As prices drop we are considering moving to ultrawide monitors with built-in docks, but we aren’t there yet and likely won’t be for another year or more.

Nice product
It fulfilled my needs and resolved my problem.Connect 2 monitors to my HP laptop so the HDMI is perfect. As to the USB ports, I also tried them, they work just fine. When I use them for the wireless keyboard and mouse I notice some delay sometimes. But if you need an extension for the USB ports you have them here.As to the rest of the ports, I do not really use them for a daily work. The device in general is neat in the shape, not cheap or low quality. It is needed for laptops.

Werkt out of the box goed met HP laptop
