Straight out of the box, the most obvious characteristic of these pedals was their thinness; they really are very low-profile. That would be a solid point in their favor if they were also free-running, but they weren't. The drag on rotation is substantial, and it doesn't ease up much with a short amount of use. Given that the very thin profile does not seem to have left room for the inclusion of either ball or roller bearings in the design, I concluded that these probably use a sleeve bearing - and that the grease installed was likely to remain viscous, sapping a small amount of power, for longer than I wanted to spend breaking them in. They're going back.

I had about 100miles on these pedals when the left pedal broke. I was simply standing up and pedaling when it broke. I would not purchase this item.

Smaller than they look... they grip is nice and the material feels nice but they spin with quite a bit of resistance
