Well worth buying if you don't want the Pro's silicone tips
Works brilliantly. Highly recommended. ANC is good, sound quality excellent. I have read that the Pro's have the edge on ANC due to the silicone seal but these are ideal if you do not like the silicone tips inside your ear as with the Pro's. Nice features such as adaptive noise canceling & conversation awareness. Seamless integration with other Apple kit, auto switching between iPad iPhone or MacBook. Head tracking Spatial Audio works well. Initial setup tests & tailors the sound to your ears giving the best possible audio Bought for a long plane trip & were well worth the cost, with my AirPods 1 I could not hear the dialogue of the film even at maximum volume on the plane, with these I could watch in comfort. Also good for noisy environments like a kids indoor play centre. They also have head movement sensors so you can nod to accept an incoming call or shake side to side to reject it. As with all Apples best kit 'it just works'.

Excellent value for money
Great AirPods, work great and noise cancellation is pretty good for having no silicone ear tips. A lot cheaper than buying them brand new especially since the AirPods look brand new but the box has a couple nicks and nacks here and there. A few things to note though, you can’t use Spatial Audio or conversation awareness if you own an android device but you can still use the noise cancellation and transparency mode through the stem of the AirPod. Overall great size and small case, good fit for a normal pocket and great sound quality. Would definitely buy again. 👍

Also works with Android devices
I’ve had mine now for a couple of weeks and use them on commutes, work calls and everyday use. WHAT'S GREAT They feel like the earbuds, Apple has been trying to perfect for years. They slip in easily and stay comfortable for long listening sessions without feeling like tiny pegs hammering into my ears. The overall sound is pleasantly full with a decent warm bass that makes music and podcasts sound lively rather than thin. The active noise cancellation is surprisingly good for open fit buds and it knocks out street rumble and background chatter enough that you can focus on what you are listening to without blasting the volume. Pairing with my iPhone was instant every time and switching between my phone and laptop just works without fiddling. They also work with my sons Samsung phone. The wireless charging case is small and easy to carry and the "Find My" speaker on the case has already saved me from tearing the house apart looking for them. WHAT'S NOT SO GREAT Comfort is personal so this will vary but if I turn my head quickly or go for a brisk walk I sometimes feel like one earbud might loosen slightly. It never actually falls out but it is not as locked in as models with silicone tips. The noise cancellation does not turn the world completely silent. Voices and sharp sounds still come through so do not expect total isolation. Battery life with noise cancellation on is good but not class, so not ideal if you plan to listen all day. There are also no on ear volume controls which feels like a strange omission. In very quiet rooms I sometimes notice a faint hiss when noise cancellation is on and nothing is playing which is subtle but noticeable once you hear it. OVERALL THOUGHTS These are not perfect and they are not trying to be. They do not isolate like deep in ear models or over ear and they are not built for intense workouts. But for everyday use they are extremely easy to live with and quietly impressive. Most of the time I forget I am wearing them and that is probably the biggest compliment I can give. Pros Comfortable for long listening sessions. Good balanced sound with solid bass. Noise cancellation works better than expected for open fit earbuds. Seamless connection with Apple devices. Compact wireless charging case with "Find My" support. Cons Noise cancellation does not block all voices. Fit may feel slightly loose for some people. No built in volume controls. Faint background hiss in very quiet environments. If you are already in the Apple ecosystem and want earbuds that feel effortless and modern without fully sealing your ears these are a very solid choice. If maximum noise blocking or a locked in fit is your top priority you may want to look elsewhere. I hope this review helps you decide whether this is the right choice for you.

Excellent earbuds with impressive sound and ANC
Excellent earbuds with impressive sound and ANC I’ve been using the AirPods 4 for a while now and they genuinely feel like a big step up in everyday performance. First off, the sound quality is superb for this style of earbuds. Music comes through with real clarity and depth, and there’s a nice balance across bass, mids and treble that works well for all kinds of genres. Whether I’m listening to podcasts, playlists or watching videos, everything sounds detailed and full rather than tinny or flat. The active noise cancellation is very good and makes a huge difference, especially in busy places like trains or cafés. Background noise gets pushed well into the background without making the audio sound muffled, and I find myself using ANC far more than I thought I would when I first got them. Transparency mode also works just as you’d expect, letting in enough ambient sound to stay aware of what’s going on around you without it feeling artificial. The adaptive audio that balances between ANC and transparency depending on what you’re doing is a nice touch and seems to work seamlessly. Setup and day-to-day use couldn’t be easier. Pairing with my devices was instant and hassle-free, and once connected they just work straight away whenever I take them out of the case. They are very light in the ears and comfortable to wear for long stretches, so they don’t cause fatigue even after a couple of hours. Battery life is solid too, easily lasting a full day of mixed use, and the USB-C charging case is convenient and quick to top up when needed. The wireless charging option is a welcome extra if you prefer to ditch cables. Compatibility has been excellent as well. While they pair especially smoothly with Apple devices, I’ve also used them with other Bluetooth sources without any issues. Controls and features work as expected across different platforms, making them flexible if you switch between gadgets. Overall these are among the best wireless earbuds I’ve used. They pair instantly, deliver consistently great sound, and the noise cancellation is genuinely effective. For the price they represent a strong all-round package and I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier Bluetooth buds.

Pretty decent
Airpods have good bass but the sound is a bit quiet even at the 40-50%. Easy to connect with Bluetooth. Noise cancellation is pretty good for AirPods that have no buds like the pros. The Airpod case feels like quality but opening and closing sound feels kind of cheap. Arrived a couple of days late which was not an issue. The AirPods are kind of difficult to take out but I think overtime I will get used to it. On the bright side, lots of nice features such as ANC, Spatial etc. Personally, I think investing in the pros is a better option. I picked the open AirPods because I have wet earwax and don’t like the buds from the pros pushing it further down my ear canal. Therefore I would suggest Airpod 4s ANC to people who find the bud tips uncomfortable or have wet earwax. I got them for £150. Is it worth the price? I would say yes, I mean you’re investing in good quality AirPods that sound decent and it has ANC unlike the other previous open AirPod gen’s. I would say if you’re buying your first ever AirPods, go for the Airpod 4 ANC. Although the sound is a bit quiet at 40%, the myriad features that the AirPod offers outweighs the drawbacks.

Bargain upgrade from Gen 1 AirPods!
I picked up the AirPods 4 as a replacement for my original first-generation AirPods, which were clearly on their last legs. Battery life was unreliable (especially in cold weather), call quality was becoming hit-and-miss, and the Lightning cable was starting to feel like unnecessary friction given all my other devices use USB C. I spent a fair bit of time debating whether to go for the AirPods 4 with ANC, or even stretch to the Pros, but in the end I’m very glad I went with the standard AirPods 4 - particularly at the discounted price of around £99. For my real-world use (lots of calls while walking outdoors), these hit the sweet spot. For call quality and outdoor use (the main reason I bought them) my voice is picked up clearly, calls are stable, and people on the other end hear me - I’m sure just as well as they ever would with ANC enabled. Wind reduction is fine but not dramatically better than older models - but importantly, if you’re considering these versus the version with ANC, my research tells me the pricier pair doesn’t improve on this anyway. If hands free calls are your priority, these more than do the job. Battery & reliability is a night-and-day improvement over Gen 1. Cold weather no longer causes random shutdowns, and they easily handle long winter walks without anxiety. Battery life feels dependable again, which was honestly the biggest upgrade for me. Sound quality is noticeably cleaner and more balanced than Gen 1. Music and podcasts sound fuller, and while there’s no active noise cancelling here, I’ve never felt like I’m missing out for casual listening while walking. The good: - Excellent value at ~£99 - Huge battery and reliability upgrade over Gen 1 - Clear, reliable call quality (even outdoors) - USB-C charging (finally) - Lightweight, comfortable, and familiar fit - No unnecessary features driving up the price What could be better: - No ANC or transparency modes (though this is expected at this price and is a fair trade off) - Wind noise is still audible on calls - Would’ve loved the new live translation functionality from the pros, but again the omission is more than fair given the price! Bottom line - if you’re upgrading from first-generation AirPods and care most about reliable calls, battery life, and everyday usability, the standard AirPods 4 are the best value option. At £99, these feel like a very safe, lowest-regret purchase.

Son loves them. Fab airpods
I bought the Apple AirPods 4 as a Christmas gift for my son and he absolutely loves them. The sound quality is excellent and they were very easy to set up straight out of the box. They connect quickly and the battery life has been great so far. He says they are comfortable to wear and stay in well, whether he is listening to music or watching videos. A fantastic gift and definitely worth it to see how happy he is with them. Would highly recommend.
