Road Top Wireless CarPlay for Mercedes-Benz S W222 NTG5.0 (2014-2020)

Installation was incredibly straightforward. If you run into any issues, there are several helpful videos online that walk you through the process. The only part I struggled with was reinstalling the head unit. It wouldn't slide all the way back in, and I initially assumed the wiring was getting in the way. After spending an embarrassingly long time troubleshooting, I realized there's a small trick to it—you need to slightly lift the rear of the head unit as you slide it back in so it aligns with the tracks. Once installed, the unit has worked flawlessly. Audio quality is just as good as the factory system, and every OEM button functions exactly as it should. The instructions mention holding the * button to switch between CarPlay and the OEM interface. While that worked occasionally, I found it to be somewhat inconsistent. Instead, holding the Back button performs the same function and has been much more reliable in my experience. The 360-degree camera works exactly as it should, with no noticeable delay when switching between the camera view and CarPlay. Another nice touch is that the module remembers your last setting, so if you leave the vehicle in CarPlay mode, it automatically returns to CarPlay the next time you start the car. This is also an outstanding value. I was originally considering a competing product that cost nearly twice as much and required cutting into the center console during installation. This module requires no modifications whatsoever, which was a huge advantage for me. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It performs exactly as advertised, integrates seamlessly with the factory system, and offers excellent value for the price. I highly recommend it.

Had planned to install it myself, but sought the services of an auto radio installation company which proved to be the right decision. The unit works well with no hassle and has enhanced the operating experience to that of a recent model.

The product works well, I've just put it in my car and I don't need a specialist to install it. The bad thing is that technical support doesn't respond in time and the video on youtube about the product on the MB W222 doesn't tell you where it's placed. But apart from that, it works very well and the delivery was quick.

actually, super easy to install. If you know anything about electronics took me 30 minutes to take it apart, plug it in and set up. Definitely worth it.

Total Garbage. It did not come with two of the USB adapters which are required for installation. Purchased those seperately on Amazon as they are not readily available on the shelf. 3 days later, i was able to plug it in, only to find out, it's junk. Adapter works for video but no audio. Customer support is non-existent. They do not reply to emails and there is no phone number. I Googled technical support for Road top and got a phone number to a different company. I do not recommend this purchase. There are tons of different options that are simple plug and play and do not require removal of the center console, drilling holes in your interior and many reputable companies offer customer service options. Will never purchase a RoadTop product again due to lack of after-purchase support and a useless product

Use YouTube to install. Instruction to link all features are complicated. The ones I got connected work well. Still haven’t linked phone screen mirroring, and I have to switch back in fourth to from MB car Bluetooth to here phone call through car speakers. Links really fast, and I haven’t seen any difference in video quality. Fitting under center console isn’t so easy. You’re basically molding the center console over the car play unit. Optical cable’s aren’t long enough to sit it to the back of the center console where there is room. Autolink app is know where mentioned to download app nor is it in Apple App Store. The customer support sucks. They get back to u a week later. I sent the model of car and what I purchased and they still asked me what model😩 tells me their isn’t any real support for this product. Works for what I need it for. But I would love the extra’s it promotes.
