My 7-year-old was completely captivated—the hatching process was exciting to watch, and it made the whole experience feel magical and interactive right from the start. Why did you pick this product vs others?:because it is super coolColor:thankfully got the one that was wanted!Fun for kids:very fun for kids (and adults to watch)Functionality:great play time out of itso this has been my go-to gift right now. i've been able to get it for $20 either on here or walmart online. the price fluctuates. my daughter wanted one for her bday. it was so much fun watching it hatch! i wasn't expecting it to be so interactive. then, my son (6), wanted one... he liked the dragons. thankfully the red/orange one hatched for him! he LOVES it. then, our neighbor who is almost 5 was obsessed with ours, so i got it for him as a gift. his whole family was over and i basically did a "demo" of this thing and they all "ooh'd and ahhh'd" at the spectacle. it was so funny! it mists, wiggles, cracks open, sings a song... grown adults were amazed LOL. it's a great gift but does take some help from an adult. i think an older kid would probably think it's too baby-ish.and actually, the animal that comes with it actually does a lot of fun things! my kids like it better than the ferbie. it does a cute dance party, "throws up/toots" (which is hilarious to them), etc.anyway, if you can get it for $20, it's a steal and a MUST for a gift. i highly recommend!

Bought this for one of my g-grandsons (he'll be 7) and he loves it. It was fun to watch it grow and hatch out of the shell. Does a lot of stuff to entertain. It's soft and durable. Seems to function well. No assembling required. Just a lot of fun for a kiddie.

I bought this for my niece and did not know what to expect. The hatching was an amazing experience in itself. All of the party goers including adults were enthralled with this guy. Very entertaining.

This is the perfect gift for Christmas or birthday. Battery has lasted since Christmas and it is very durable! Super fun and interactive, the noises and music is exciting and entertaining! Great value.

The instructions on how to hatch were a bit confusing and we ended up peeling it and were inpatient in getting it out but it was cute. Kind of dumb that there isn't a reusable shell. My daughter was disappointed at the fact she couldn't reuse the whole shell and only use the bottom part. She throws it around and it's become a bit of a hazard but the toy itself is cute and she loves it. Although when she uses it as a battering ram it's hard interior can do some damage, so we take it away. But otherwise a pretty ok toy. My daughter was 4 when we have this to her i don't think the 2 year old would have been as ok with it.

Got this for my son’s bday, he really loves furbys and any sort of robot “pet.”He truly enjoyed rocking, cuddling and petting the dragon egg while he waited for it to “hatch.” He just turned 5. I would highly recommend this toy, as it’s engaging and exciting. Lots of functions post hatch as well.
