Prints beautifully
We have a HP printer that we have had forever. Don't get me wrong, we love it. But the cartridges have gotten to expensive. I crochet and cross stitch and am always printing patterns. So I use a lot of ink. I just cannot afford the HP ink anymore. I researched forever before getting this printer. I had friends who told me the ink would dry up if I did not use it often, and other scary things. But so far I love the thing. The things I print are lots of color. Crochet patterns show you step by step and black and white just does not work for that. So sometimes one pattern will have pages and pages of color pictures. This thing is really easy on the ink. I have printed lots and lots in the 3 months I have had it and it still has plenty of ink. It hold about 250 pages of blank paper so I don't have to reload constantly (last pattern was 185 pages long). And the ink seems to go a long way and is reasonably priced. This printer is also fast. I am glad they produced a printer that I can afford the ink even though I miss my HP. But I do love this one. I do not have to feel guilty every time I print a pattern.

ONE YEAR UPDATE: Bought refurbished- NO REGRETS- Nice Printer! Eco-Tank seems to be the way to go!
AFTER ONE YEAR, this is still the best printer I have ever had. It is not without its quirks, but a great printer at a reasonable price. Love the EcoTank system. I still have yet to use my refills!QUIRKS: I used it to print pictures (not made for that, but did a decent job!), and I can't get it out of the "Photo-Paper" mode. I must manually select "plain paper" each time. I am sure there is a fix for this somewhere. Also, I have been getting a few streaks in the prints now & then. I may have to do some maintenance. I did not try to resolve it... it just doesn't bother me that much.I highly recommend this printer...Bought refurbished- NO REGRETS- Nice Printer! Looks as good as new.The setup was a bit tedious but very smooth... just follow the directions (I have trouble with that sometimes :-) ), the directions are better than most.Good quality prints. Nice features. Would buy again. I will update review in 1 year...My last printer, a Brother, was a nightmare! Will not buy again! LOUSY streaky prints that I could never fix! Also, correct me if I am wrong, but this printer does NOT require Sublimation Ink! I could find nothing on the net that directly states that, but also could not find anything that said it was required. All in all, a great basic color printer!

This new ink tank is the way to go
I needed a newer color printer and saw these "cartridge-less" EPSON units and thought, "That is the way to go. No cost or time to reuse or throw away the old cartridges". I checked out the cost of these new type ink holders and they are about 20-30% cheaper than the OEM cartridges. You can actually see how much is left in each reservoir and the ink bottle is foolproof to insert, they can only insert one way. Insert and twist to the right, which locks them in.So I pulled the trigger and made the purchase. I remember a principal a friend told me, "Companies that make only one product are usually very good at making that product". EPSON falls into that category, just like Kenwood or BOSE for example. I have had 2 EPSON printers for over 15 years now and they both work just fine. The unit arrived in a well-protected box and set up and pared within 5 minutes. It runs flawlessly. NOTE: Take the time to go through all the setup steps the unit walks you through, it's worth that small amount of time.Great printer EPSON! 5 stars

Decent Printer Worked Fine
This is a decent Printer and the setup was pretty easy. The colors come out great. Love the ink. The only thing I don't like about this printer is that it doesn't have a paper feeder for when I want to make copies or scan.
