Flat Cats Window protection for Cats Standard Twin Pack (60cm x 115cm Grey Mesh/White Fixings)

Our cat is a cross between an escape artist and an idiot. She constantly tries to climb through open windows, even though she's terrified of the outside world. We got this to protect her from her own stupidity and it worked wonders. In all seriousness though this has been a life saver this year, on the warm days we can finally crack the windows open fully. You get a lot of double sided/velcro tape, more than you'll need, and despite her best attempts it's been holding strong for just over a year. You can easily peel it back to open/close the window and fix it back in place. This is an absolute must have item if you own a cat.

Our house is like a greenhouse and with 6 indoor cats there's no respite from the heat. We have tried another version of a window cover but it is nothing in comparison to flat cats. The other one used little magnets and just wasn't up to the job, meaning I had to constantly be around whilst I let some well needed cool air in. With this though it is sturdy, easy to set up and looks neat. It is secure and can withstand a cat climbing it repeatedly. (See photo) 😂 Delivery was very speedy too. Perfect rating, I'd recommend this to everyone.

We have a new cat that has to stay in for a few weeks and the house is roasting without the windows being opened. I purchased these and was delighted and amazed with how easy they are to fit . Took only a couple of minutes ! I love the fact that the really strong velcro that is placed onto the window cill is provided in enough of a quantity to ensure that if you wanted to place two strips of this side by side making this product very strong you can do so. The sellers aren't stingy in their provision. There is also a lovely wide band of velcro sewn onto the curtain which makes this very secure. Additionally even though the photo and indeed the material looks dark in the packet when it's up its doesn't cut down on light and apart from the surround that looks a very light grey you wouldn't really know it was there. It doesn't reduce visability and the cat now loves to sit on the window looking out because she can now smell the air, feel the air on her face and hear the birds. She is still safe but gets all of the sensory benefits of being outdoors ( except of course the exercise ) but in a few weeks she'll be out but we will be keeping these up as they also are great insect repellents. An excellent product which I loved so much I ordered a custom made one and it was delivered the following day ! The customer service is exceptional and second to none ! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I was dying in the hot weather having our windows shut at night to stop our orange cat jumping out and came across this product. I was skepticle at first if this would hold as our cat was smart enough to work out how to open under bed storage that was cello taped shut. It took him a week to realise the mesh screen wasn't a magical barrier but was something stuck down and tried to pull it off. After a couple of days of trying to unsuccessfully pull off the mesh he has finally given up and I can now sleep in peace with the window open on a hot night. It was really easy to install and the velcro strips stick well to the pvc window frame and haven't started to peel at all yet. I will definately have to get another one for another window.

I have a strictly indoor cat who is my baby. These nets have kept her safe and helped keep us both cool in the summer. I had these nets on my windows for a few years. Gradually they got harder to clean and got mouldy (we had a black mould issue in the flat) and when the time came to move out of our rental, it took two days of gruelling work to remove the sticky residue from the window edges. It was the most stressful experience that I simply don’t want to go through again. Will not be purchasing any more of these. A shame because they really do work and keep the bugs you hate out and the little bugs you love in!

These are an absolute saviour! I am Australian, and these are called (flyscreens) back home. They are standard fittings on every household window frame. Why they are not on UK house windows, I do not know. So to see these! I was sceptical i must say. I purchased these, which comes with 3 screens and fittings. Very well made. But were they going to be sturdy enough for my needs. I have 2 Maine Coon cats. With the warmer weather and having windows open, its impossible to keep them in. These are incredibly strong screens and withstand the test of two Coonies, trying to claw at the mesh to jump out of the window. Very easy to fit around the window frames, in minutes and the cats sat there looking out happily. Very well made. I have 3 windows now cat and bug safe. Going to purchase a couple more sets for the remainder of the windows in the house for Summer. Just could do with them not being priced so high, I do think if the price wasn't to high alot of people on the Maine Coon website, who are wanting these also for their homes, to keep their cats indoors, would also purchase these. Not just for keeping pets in, but definitely a necessity for keeping unwanted insects and bugs out.

I'm a foster carer for cats, so get a steady influx of different cats. I have two of these meshes and they've been great. I've had all sorts of cats large, small and kittens, I had no problems with any of them. The kittens did try to climb it, but it held strong and I promptly removed the scaling spider kitten . Fitment can be a bit awkward, I don't think it can be any easier, but it can be fiddly . Especially if you have blind or curtain rails in the way . Price wise, I do think it's a little over priced , £35 for some mesh and Velcro seems steep, but they are sturdy, and for a product like this, it's best to go with what you trust . I will probably order more, as once summer comes back round, it's nice to be able to have the windows open.
