Save me lots of time on manual works
What a great and well built towable backhoe. This little machine is powerful and met my expectations. The assembly is a pain especially when you do it yourself. Take your time and do it right.NOTES: When fill the hydraulic fluid, put in 2.5 gallon first, start the machine, and operate all the movements of the boom. Afterwards, add 1.4 gallon more (total 3.9 gallon). Also grease all the joins.Updated (4/4/2025): DO NOT USE a thumb with the bucket because it will bend the bucket. Use a ripper with a thumb.

Disappointing Experience with Towable Trencher
I purchased a towable trencher from Northern Tool in June 2023 for $4,360.73 (with tax and delivery). Unfortunately, my experience with the product and service has been frustrating.Shortly after assembly, the machine leaked extensively during the first use due to a faulty suction cup weld, wasting most of the hydraulic fluid. Customer service informed me that the replacement part wouldn’t be available until January 2024, leaving the machine unusable .After only approx. 12 hours of gentle use on soft dirt, the wheel bearing failed, but by then, the machine was out of its one-year warranty. Adding to my disappointment, I noticed that the same trencher is now priced significantly lower on both Amazon and Northern Tool’s website—approximately $1,000 less than what I paid. This suction cup weld is a common issue seems like, don't understand why the weld is poorly done in such an important part like that!
