So far - Great
I purchased 4 of these (two 2-packs) as a deal of the day. At this point I have completed installation of two of them. Set up was very easy using the app. However, I do not use the app daily. Instead I have these as part of an Alexa smart home. Including these in Alexa routines was easy. One of the switches is in my garage, about 40 feet (and several walls) from my wireless router. It had no issue at all connecting. In both of the installs I've completed the switches are in a double gang box with another switch. The included switch plate is only for single-gang installations, but standard switch plates work well. The body of this switch is large so you want to be sure there's not too much wire in the box already, but the switch itself has stranded wires which are quite flexible. If I have any knock at all is that there is no indicator which side is up. Not that it matters from a functional standpoint, but i wanted the wifi icon 'upside right'. Not worth deducting a star though. So far I have had no issues but will update if that changes.

One worked, the other fails weekly or more often (requires resetting circuit breaker to fix)
I ordered these two smart wall switches for a couple of key locations in the house, which mainly control table lamps ... but which are pretty important from a home automation perspective. I had purchased the KMC Smart 3 packs before and had good luck with them. Pretty nice packaging and OK manuals (not good installation details you don’t know wiring basics). The good: they worked and were not difficult to install [after locating the white neutral bundle in the back of my junction box]. The bad: one of them has died after only a week*. The light went off and the switch no longer shows up as online. The other bad: the switch come was an abnormally think single wall plate (two of them) ... so would work if you used their included single plate which is extract THICK ... but when I used the switch in a triple wall plate, it’s way too thick and makes he whole plate stick out badly. In order to make it fit, i would need to remove some dry wall to make it sit deeper. So I was about to return this, but support did finally reply with directions for the KMC wall plug (not wall switch) ... but that did trigger the idea that maybe I could fix it by resetting the breaker for 30 seconds. So I tried it, and sure enough, the power off, on ... did return it to working (same problem the wall plugs have sometimes) ... so I am upgrading my review 2 stars, because I really hope this is not a common problem, because resetting a breaker weekly isn't really acceptable for a hard wired switch like this. Update 9/11/18 - after the first breaker reset fixed it ... a week later it stopped worked a second time, requiring yet another breaker reset to fix. The wife isn't impressed. So one of the switches has been reliable, and the other has required weekly circuit breaker resets which renders it fairly useless overall. If you check my review history, I certain don't troll bad products only, I praise good ones. However, this product is 1-2 star range because only one switch has worked reliably in the first month. One keeps going off, sometimes weekly, sometimes daily ... under a light load of 3 7watt led lights ... basically minimal load. Having to throw a breaking to bring it back to life (for a day or three) is unacceptable, so this is a beta product ... and the non standard mounting plate further makes it unusable for household use.

Easy install, works well with one quirky switch
Update: company responded to email. Gave some suggestions to try to fix it, and offered to ship a new one if they didn't work. They didn't work. However turning power to switch off and on again worked despite it seeming to be a mechanical problem. So I increase to 4 starsgiven that the company responded and the switch is not broken. Update 2: we are about 6 months in, and the same thing has occurred with three of the four switches (manual operation stopped working, remote operation continues to work fine). Again, turning the power to the switch off and on (flipped breaker in breaker box) resolved the problem. 3/4 is pretty bad odds, however at least the fix is easy. Original review: Bought 2 of these on sale (total 4 switches). I read the reviews, but at the price I got them figured it was worth a try. I had no problems following instructions to install and get operational (be aware may need to long press switch for it to enter appropriate pairing mode). App is easy to use, linked to my google assistant which works perfectly both turning individual lights on and off and in routines. To be honest, build quality seemed mediocre compared to the manual switches I was removing, but I figured you get what you pay for. Everything was great until yesterday. One of the switches (our master bath light switch; of the 4 installed, this one gets the most daily manual use) stopped working manually (I.e. it works perfectly with app and google control, but depressing the switch does nothing). This is with only a few months of use. I emailed the contact address on their website (www dot powerkmc dot com) and I am waiting for a reply. Given the other reviewer who reported not hearing back my hopes are low. If I hear back and get a replacement product and the two year warranty is legit, I will update this review and increase my rating. However, buyer beware, this does not appear to be a quality mechanical product. I will be looking elsewhere for switches to replace these.

Works perfect! KMC is the best (and cheapest!)
This is one of maybe 15 KMC WiFi products I have. This is the first wall switch I have used and they work perfectly! A few tips though: make sure you are not going to be using this on a 3-way switch location, meaning there is only one switch for whatever light/fan etc you are installing this for. Also, when you setup the switch make sure you are not connected to a 5g WiFi network, these will not connect if you are. One thing that most will assume but I couldn’t find specifically in the info, you can still turn on and off with a press of the switch itself. If you are a little ocd like me and like for your switch plates to be even all the way around you may want to buy some switch plate spacers if you are installing in a 2, 3, or 4 gang box. These are thicker and will make the plate stand off the wall just a small amount. With the spacers on the other end of the plate it will at least be off all the way around the switch plate cover.

Defective switches
First switch lasted less than 24 hours. Amazon sent me credit to purchase a replacement. The second switch lasted 3 days. I put the replacement switch that I got and so far it is working for 4 days. I am hoping that it was a freak problem with the first two. I need 3 more and I am going for it. Let you know if there are further issues. By the way, I am using KNC wall plugs without problem. I am hoping to only use KNC since they are working well with Alexa. Amazon Customerservice is excellent.

Fall off the network too much.
I bought four switches for about ten bucks a piece. I figured it would hard to go wrong for that price. They work well as switches but all four keep falling off my network. They tend to fall off and stay off. I have to reset them and they'll come back online quickly but then are off again after a few days. When I scan my network they just aren't there. Their white color is also just off enough that they don't match the white Decora switch plates. I have one of these next to a regular switch and it just looks tacky. But then again, I only paid ten bucks a pop. I will be uninstalling them this weekend and put my old decora switches back.

Failed in 5 months
Another Update: 3 months later, still no communication with KMC. They do not answer their email request for exchange under warranty. Absolute piece of crap. Looks like i have to bad mouth KMC further until they respond more than "check your router settings". This item gets hot and stops working. It is a bad design from the git-go. I an surprised that it does not catch fire. KMC products are just bad all around. Amazon is no help because it is after the 90 day return policy. Hello Amazon, I would appreciate any help you can provide. KMC does not have a link with the product information to contact the Seller. What a screwing. Does anyone have any idea how to get KMC to respond? I suggest Amazon stop accepting KMC's products. Just look at the comments. I am not alone with this issue. Update: Another light switch failed this week. Same issue. Overheating, switch does not function. Can turn power off and then on after 2 min worked on one of the modules. The other two are in hard failure mode. Vendor, KT-KMC responded that I need to check the distance from the router, my router may be bad, screws holding the device are to tight and I need to cut the excess plastic out of the holes. DUH !! No response to the issue of overheating, failure of lights in box, or switch does not function to turn light on or off. This is the same issue that many people are having. Sounds like a design flaw. How do I get this replaced with a working version. When will I receive a shipping label to return defective items. Took a bit to figure out how to set up. No instructions or manual included. Note in box states to download the app. Directions assume you know what needs to be done. Installed 2 of them in November 2017. Failed in March 2019. Switch went dark and cannot switch manually or using the app. App does not see switch. No information about warranty. I made a mistake going with KMC. Moving my automation to another company. 5-22-2019: I would rate the company less than one star. I sent another e-mail to KMC that all 4 switches have failed. They get hot and stop working. Still no response. No customer service. No warranty as the vendor refuses to acknowledge the defective items.

Works with Smart Life App so you can link to IFTTT for complete home scheduling and management
Great to learn you don't have to use the KMC app since it is not supported by IFTTT.com. For those not aware, IFTTT is a service you can use to link and configure your outlets, switches, thermostats etc to do almost anything. Much more things to reference that just the automated timers that the basic apps come with. I link many of my lights to the WEATHER UNDERGROUND app to reference the ever-changing sunset and sunrise times. Then use this to turn on and off house lights. To take advantage of this, download the SMART LIFE app in the app store and it works with this KMC product as well as a SMART LIFE. Both of which I have installed in my home. Then go to IFTTT.COM and set up your account and link them through the SMART LIFE app to control any way you wish.
