My New Chief Ingredient.
I've often heard continental European friends mention Maggi, and recently I found I was making a lot of things where I wanted to add umami to the dish without the usual ingredients changing the nature. MSG was an option but then I remembered this Maggi stuff that had been recommended and gave it a try.What a game changer! It only takes a small amount to totally transform the flavour into something far superior.I will be making this a staple from now on. I wish I'd discovered it years earlier.Plus it's so cheap! This is amazing, and this small bottle goes a long way.Highly recommended.Oh, and it works as a table sauce too!

This stuff is liquid gold! reminds me of the taste and smell of meaty crisp seasonings or ramen seasoning packets etc. Adds a lot of flavour, great for adding umami to stuff, use it like you would Worcestershire sauce or Henderson's relish etc. Though I wouldn't compare it to them flavour profile wise, just that it's to be used similarly. Bottle is tiny though unfortunately, did wonder if they do larger bottles of the stuff and apparently they do which I might consider getting when this runs out. Can't go wrong with the price either tbf.

This little bottle of heaven is a must buy. It's great for flavouring food when cooking or giving rice a bit of a boost in taste.I discovered it when I lived in Thailand and always have some to hand ever since. It's not expensive and last a long time.
