CasioMen's G8900A-1CR G-Shock Black and Blue Resin Digital Sport Watch

I bought this as a birthday present to myself. I really like it. It is stylish and was easy to set up. Blue is my favorite color so this made the watch more attractive to me. The only thing missing was that is not a multiband solar G-Shock watch. That would had made it perfect.

Band is made of a different quality plastic than I’m normally used to from other G Shocks but it’s not the worst and it doesn’t irritate my skin thankfully.The shades of blue are stunning to look at. The watch light isn’t the brightest but it’s good enough to read time when you’re out late or waking up in the middle of the night.I weigh 350lbs with big wrists and I can fit up to the last two notches with mild comfort. Might take getting used to based on the quality of plastic used on the band.Overall very satisfied with this purchase and definitely would buy this style again in another color.

This is my fifth G-Shock and the first that is battery-powered. However, there were a couple of initial surprises when I opened the box. First, the watch case and band are very glossy, which is markedly different from my other G-Shocks. It's not disagreeable at all to me; just different. Second, I was a bit concerned that it would be difficult to see the time under certain lighting conditions; based upon my previous experience with negative or reverse lighting displays. Oh, there is no doubt that a positively lit display is usually better, but for some reason, there is not as much difference with this watch as there has been with others of the type. I don't know whether that is attributable to the blue color, or improvements in display technology. Whatever the case, I have not found it difficult to see the time under most conditions with this watch. The functions of the watch are fairly standard among G-Shocks, so I was able to navigate the menu system without referring to the manual. The fit is comfortable. Not as much as much as my 'Sky Cockpit' or 'Mudman,' but it wasn't objectionable. Likewise, the size was in-line with other G-Shocks, so if you already own one and have no objections to the size, this one will probably hold no surprises for you. The backlighting is excellent and works well under all low-light conditions and the buttons are well-placed, so they're not digging into my wrist all day. All-in-all, this is a great addition to my collection and I'm very happy with my purchase!

I surf 2-3 times a week, so I need a reliable watch for the ocean. With the DW9052 Series, I discovered that the Casio G-Shock is an excellent basic surf watch. I never had any issues with it, even after more than 5 years of non-stop surfing. When I lost it, I initially considered buying the same model again, but then I came across this version, which immediately caught my eye. It looked great in the photos and had a slightly more refined appearance compared to my previous watch. Assuming this model would be just as reliable for surfing, I decided to give it a try, even though it was a bit more expensive.When it arrived, my first impression was the glossy finish of the band, which wasn’t obvious in the photos. Interestingly, the small loop that holds the strap in place has a matte finish, similar to my old watch, which created a noticeable contrast.At first, I wished the entire band had the same matte finish as my previous model. However, after a few days, I started to appreciate the glossy look. It was something I wasn’t used to, but it has grown on me. The shiny finish adds a unique touch, and I think it looks elegant when worn outside of the water.Now, after a couple of weeks, I’m very happy with this purchase. I hope the band proves to be as durable as the one on my old watch, but so far, I’m really enjoying this upgrade.

I love GShock watches but if you’re buying a round GShock as opposed to the easier to use square GShocks you better have YouTube handy to figure out which button combinations actually set the time correctly. That being said I love all G Shocks no matter the style and this one is no different. I really like how the digital time stands out from the blue background. Very easy to read. Just a good standard round GShock 👍

The most amazing part is the functional auto light that turns on automatically after you angle the watch on your wrist 40 degree towards you. It makes it easy for when your hands are full and you need to check the time while walking. It is very convenient. The blue light illuminates everything very well.I can see the numbers clearly with no struggle. It has a beautiful design with a gloss finish all around down to the straps. It is comfortable and light. The description states that it has a 2-3 year battery life span which is less than other g-shocks i had which had 6 year but it is still pretty good. The color stands out nicely and it is easy to read. The font is big enough to see. Overall It is a great watch. I wear it every day.
