Living in the City one can never be certain of the characters one is surrounded by, particularly now as literally all Debit cards come embedded with RF-ID (or NFC) chips. The issue being that one need not be physically mugged, when a wireless sniffing system can give the common credential thief Houdini like abilities.Short of not taking the card with one when out and about, possibly relying on an ankle wallet, or perhaps going to the trouble of demanding a bank card without an NFC chip installed, this is a first class option.There are several competitors of course, but it comes down to durability I find, as we all initially fall for a bit of nostalgia we were never alive to have witnessed with the "Keep Calm and Carry On" out of copyright slogan, this product has been built for a specific purpose. The OPTEXX is of a hard plastic on both sides, with thin metal inner plating that can be seen via the cutaway used to slide the card out of it's sleeve (which does not compromise it's shielding abilities) - remember, this is a rigid product and will not warp as a thin alloy/polymer fusion might.I wanted this to be more than just for my bank card, why not cash as well, if possible it could become an everyday streamlined wallet for me. With a card inserted the sleeve had enough weight to sit at the base of one's inner jacket pocket, without riding up through normal movement and perhaps spilling out unnoticed. Also, due to a bank card holder's embossed details, compared to say the uninterrupted smooth surface of an Oyster travel card, it will firmly stay in the sleeve thanks to friction.As if I need to mention, the cover is indeed quite inflexible, but of course it will bend when empty if sufficient pressure is applied. I've had it on my persons (EDC) with regular use for two years now and it only really fatigued when slipping cash notes inside it, as the fused edges at the opening began to divide. However, these are shipped in packs of three, and I'm still on my first all this time later, but likely could have gone through two by now if it was a real problem.Presently, I have transferred my bank card abilities to my iPhone and that security is even better as it can create a freak random number for each transaction, and is biometrically protected, even if lost. However, for those rare occasions, I still rely on this sleeve and have never fallen victim to data-sniffing.I carried mine with me as a stand alone object, however, if looking for security in the tight confines of a woman's purse, the thinner more flimsy options would make more sense, there are also more designs to choose from, but black is harder to spot.Pros:• Durable materials beat competitors at price point• Rounded bottom corners don't tear into thin inner fabric pockets• Three should last as many years of normal abuse• Multi-spectrum protection• All black design misses the unwanted eyeCons:• Too thick to be used in a tight purse, better stand alone in a bag or pocket• Carrying notes will need to be folded (x4 thick), so take a £20 and not x4 £5!• Boring design for impulsive minds

So my review is a bit biased in the sense that I was primarily looking for a single card sleeve that is hard - not necessarily having any security feature. Also I needed a minimal sleeve which is as close to the card size as possibly. This happens to be exactly that. There is an aluminum or other metallic layer beneath the top plastic layer. So I'm quite hopeful this would prevent card from twisting when in the hip pocket (I've twisted two bank cards before).Apart from that, the security feature works I tested. There are 3 problems that I see in this product but they are only big enough to have one star taken away,1) Build quality is average, edges can be sharp so file/soften them a bit if needed.2) Although there is decent gap between top and bottom surface, some cards, specially with the raised numbers can be hard to slide in/out.3) Should be cheaper. For the build quality I would expect £2 at max.

*VERY* stiff, almost impossible to get card in & out and cut finger on sharp edge trying. Won't use & (while may block card) won't use this product :-(

I was kept up to date whilst waiting for delivery and it arrived on time. I ordered two packets, one to give to my daughter. Very pleased with the product, it is as described and the cards fit perfectly.

Had these a few weeks now and my cards have settled in so that I can slide them out easily when required. Has eliminated card clash so very happy
