Swiss Army Multi-Tool, Evolution Pocket Knife

I falsely believed that the swiss army knife had not been delivered on Feb 4. But it WAS delivered, accidentally taken by a team of workmen working at my house. Only an error, it was returned to me today. So all is good.The knife is good, high quality.

Actually a bit smaller than I had envisioned but with all of the cool attachments one expects. I would put this one in the category of 'urban EDC' what with having the corkscrew and the bottle opener. I chose this unit pretty much for that purpose and ultimately for the scissors, which are actually very functional, and the magnifying glass, which also functions well but is quite small. No need to list all of the attachments here but all of them are very sturdy and functional, not just for show. I have a belt holder for my multi-tool that I carry most days but will now house this unit when I'm just out and about in town.

Love this knife. It's a hybrid of the Victorinox and Wenger company. Victorinox absorbed the Wenger company. This knife is a fatty but has ergonomic scales. The scissors are like the Wenger as well as large blade. Magnifying glass is excellent! If you're a collector, buy this one!

Now you probably already know but the Delemont knives are Victorinox's method of keeping their long rival and now subsidiary Wenger alive. Wenger knives have a number of variations in design compared to Vic counterparts that you may prefer depending on various factors. The main difference being the size; 91mm for Vic's and 85mm for Wenger(and yes it is pronounced Venger you pleb). Vic had long produced 84mm models but refuses to make them with scissors for some stupid reason. So what you get here is a slightly more compact, very comfortable, built like a brick sh... shed, Swiss Army knife(yes they made knives for the military so the term is apt) with a fuller rounded blades that has more belly which aids in slicing. The magnifying glass is very small yet powerful and would be useful for lighting a solar fire. You can't go wrong if you read this than just buy it you filthy animal.

With typical Swiss attention to detail, this knife is well-crafted and trustworthy. It would be a very useful tool in the wild. There are a few tools--delicate fingernail file, for example--that could have been replaced with something more useful, but overall this thing is a must-have tool.
