Q: i have a shorkie and weighs 4 pounds right now will get to 10 pounds.. would i buy a small or medium size?

I have a 8/9 lbs Yorkie Poo puppy. I brought the medium size one when I first got her at 5 weeks, and she was engulfed by it. I just put her large blanket in it to diminish the amount of space that she could move around with. As she grew, I got the all black large size when she was around 3/4 months I believe. Right now she is 9.40 lbs, about 17 inches long, 15 inch chest, 9.5 in neck. She fits comfortably in the large on top of a blanket that I keep inside for some bottom cushion and support. The bottom has no padding so you can feel everything and it helps prop her higher so her head is as level as can be with the head opening. I hope this helps!

The shoulder strap is adjustable. The inside is plain with nothing other than the hammock. I put my puppies blanket inside for him to sit in and it worked great since it's winter but we might have to go without the blanket during the summer.

My little guy is a little over 4 lbs.and fits perfect in the small with some room. Not sure of the depth difference between the small and medium where her head would be comfortable coming out of the medium at her size right now.
