It work without setup with LG, I tried it with my old Sony TV it was so easy just enter the number and bingo. Small compact and good signal.

UP and WORKING in under 60 seconds! Not including the time to install the two new batteries (not provided) and the time to find my TCL on it's EXTENSIVE list! Once I had the code(s) for my TCL I followed the EASY directions and I was IN COMMAND in under 60 SECONDS! The first three digits worked (011). I tried to find more details about the 4 COLOR buttons but the manual had no info and the Internet was of no help either? STILL the price was so reasonable that I purchased TWO because my remotes disappear and reappear so often! So far the only thing I regret is there is no NETFLIX or PRIME button.

Did not work for my Emerson tv

I bought this remote because the TCL remote that came with my tv doesn't have a mute button and I hate commercials. This remote programmed easily and worked perfectly with my tv. The only negative is that the buttons are kind of high so the tactile feel is a little awkward. If you don't press down on the center of the button, it can tilt to the side and not make contact. You can get use to it, but i still occasionally mis-press a button and have to press again. This never happens to me with my other remote which has much lower profile buttons. Otherwise, this performs well.

Just what I needed for TVs

They work great! Super easy to program but also super easy to break! I meant it was only $9 for two so i understand. I had them for like 3 months maybe before they both broke down. One my husband dropped it and it literally broke from the middle. It still work afterwards but it just keep on falling apart. The other one just one day decided to stop working.
