This wood mulch is suitable for a medium sized potted plant or possibly two small potted plants. The chips are what I would describe as a coarse grind with some pieces as long as 2”. I have many potted indoor plants and outdoor plants in grow bags. I’ll be using this mulch on an outdoor perennial herb to protect the roots during the winter months.

I got the small package of wood mulch to cover up the soil on some indoor planters. It's not a lot of mulch, but it was enough to fill and cover the soil on two of my larger planters. It feels like it looks like basic hardwood mulch.

There is not much to say about this mulch, it's pretty light in colour, has a bit of a flakey and splintery quality to it. The mulch is packed up in a zip-lock type of bag that had been taped together, and was a bit hard to open. As expected you don't get a lot of mulch, I found this bag was able to protect about 1 5 gallon planter.With quantity in mind, I would say this is not a good value, as it's pricepoint(5.99 at the time of review) is higher than most larger bags of mulch that cover more ground, or can fill more planters.

Not worth buying it was big enough or easy to use. It didn't really smell and. It appeared bigger in the picture. The quality wasn't very good and the appearance was awful

I like this wood chip because it is natural and in my experience it doesn't have a bad chemical smell when I opened it. It seems to be a good filler for the potting soil. I mix it with the soil to add nutrients and help with better drainage for the soil. I like this because I think this was hard to find.
