Warm, comfortable hat
Arriving in a ziplock bag, this beanie hat is clearly good quality. The merino wool is very soft without being itchy - something that many wool products can suffer from – although the inner lining is a softer fleece-like feel (also 100% merino wool) so less likely to cause this issue. I like the simple design without an additional ‘bobble’ or other silly adornments on the top.I ordered the M/L size which fits well for my average size head. It’s a snug fit that fully covers my ears without feeling too tight or uncomfortable. Nice and warm as you’d expect, especially given the secondary fleece lining. The leather tag looks nice and unassuming, though I am curious why it has another brand’s name on it (Fancet). As with many wool products it is hand-wash only, but given the breathable and odourless qualities of merino wool washing isn’t something you should have to worry about too frequently.Overall, I think it’s a quality hat well suited for those colder months and should last some time if looked after. It’s important to keep your head warm in winter and you can’t really go wrong choosing this. At £19.99 at the time of ordering I feel this is a reasonable price.

Warm head
This beanie is made of very thick material which is great for the upcoming winter. Over the last few days of cold weather it has done an amazing job of keeping my head warm when out and about.

Super Cosy, Winter-Ready, Hat……
…. I’m absolutely delighted with this hat and I’m really pleased I was offered the opportunity to order it.I’m a huge fan of Marino wool. I have socks in 100% Marino wool, they are fab too. This hat is great quality, great grey shade, really very cosy and fits me well, with room to spare. I’m really looking forward to wearing it in the winter.I would order it again and I’m very happy to recommend

Really nice hat. Suits my wife. Bit big on me.
This hat feels lovely. So soft and fluffy with a really nice soft fleece lining. Its allegedly 100% Merino wool. It's really well made and I think it will be super cosy and warm when the cold weather comes. My head is 59cm circumference, measured where you take your hat size, which I happen to know is 7 3/8. So 59cm should be at the very top end of the M/L size which is supposed to be 54cm-59cm. It should really be snug given the size of my head, but it still almost burys me!There are several cardboard tag things attached in the same vein that leading brands do to make their product look like a quality item. One of them goes on about satisfying the need to create hats that fit really large XXXL heads. It makes me wonder if they've lost touch with the size of a 'normal head’?In summary though, its a really nice hat, and although the sizing is generous, it still works for me and would be worn extensively on future dog walks, apart from after my wife spotted it, she fell in love with it and has now taken ownership of it. To be fair, it actually looks really good on her, so perhaps my head's just not ideally suited to it. She has long hair, so perhaps that helps fill it out a bit.

A great quality hat, with an extra fleece lining and ample extra space
This is the second Top EX beanie I've had, the other was the Fisherman's style one. This one is different in two areas, there's a lot more loose material on the top, enough to hide a large amount of hair I suppose or otherwise it's quite floppy and gives you some space for breathability. I seriously doubt if many people need the room for their head as mine is huge, and my dad's is even bigger and he's got enough room for a cricket ball under it. Perhaps it's just a style thing, I honestly don't know. As an elderly man though with not much hair, he's very happy to have a significant upgrade over his older wool hat.The material quality is really good, as you'd expect from Merino wool and it's lined with thin, fairly smooth, fleece which I suppose helps deal with hair oil and sweat, but will presumably also increase the insulation.Obviously it's more than warm enough for most people. I like Merino because I find it warm and breathable but not scratchy as I've often found other wool. Plus it theoretically has anti-bacterial prosperities so is often used for travel gear.Overall, it's a great hat, the price is reasonable for Merino, but get it because you want the extra room above your skull or are truly a walking mountain, if you want a hat that's close to the scalp I'd recommend their Fisherman version.

Fits well, warm and Winter ready
This is a top quality beanie hat that looks stylish and provides a good amount of warmth. In terms of it's fit I found it to be excellent both in terms of hugging my head and in having an amount of stretch for larger sizes. For reference my head circumference is around 58cm and I ordered the M/L size. As it is the hat comes over my ears but the cuff can also be adjusted downwards if desired to give extra protection.I like that it's made from Merino wool and will provide a little protection from odour build up as well as being a little resilient to water. As a woollen garment it should also maintain a degree of insulation even when wet. The fleece lining gives a nice soft feel to the inside of the hat and enhances it's insulating properties even further. The wool and fleece combination is nicely breathable and testing it over the Summer I haven't experienced any excessive over heating. The combination of fabrics also give a great deal of protection against windy weather. All round an excellent hat that will keep the head toastie for the Winter. Simple and classically stylish enough to suit any age.Highly recommended.
