Solid and Flexible Wiring for Small Projects
The Piwaal 20AWG Electrical Wire Spool is a versatile option for low-voltage applications, providing a good balance between flexibility and durability. It includes 25ft of 2-conductor parallel wire (totaling 50ft split between red and black), making it suitable for projects like LED strips, speaker wiring, and various other low-voltage connections. The tinned copper wire ensures strong conductivity while also resisting oxidation, which is a plus for long-term use.One thing that stands out is the wire’s flexibility. The PVC insulation is soft, making it easy to handle and bend, even in tight spaces. The additional heat shrink tubes and cable ties included in the package are a thoughtful touch, especially in matching red and black colors to keep everything neat and organized. While the spool is small, it’s perfect for smaller projects or if you’re working with limited space. The wire is easy to strip and work with, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced users alike.Score: 5/5 – A great choice for anyone needing flexible, reliable wiring for low-voltage projects, with the added bonus of useful accessories.

Good quality and very useful
I have a lot of low voltage projects on the go at the moment and this roll of 50 ft wire is ideal , it is similar to speaker wire and has two parallel conductors (wires) which makes it easier than running two separate wires , already used it and it is flexible but stiff enough for threading through gaps , plus solders really well onto terminalsGlad I got this and would recommend

decent wire for appropriate LOW POWER projects
this is a decent wire that works well.it's intended for very low power applications so be sure to check that it conforms to the needs of your project specifically but if it does then it's affordable and does the job.

Convenient storage reel with this hookup wire
This is going to be handy hookup wire since up until now I have been scrounging my rats' nest box of wire cuttings and there is hardly anything close to 20 to 24 gauge. I am running into more and more hobby projects where the components are now so miniaturized that my car stereo left overs from years ago are too thick. My automatic squeeze and strip hand tool takes care of making clean strips of this small gauge with no problems. This wire fits the components and interconnects for servo motors, low power delivery, and adding LED lighting here and there on gear where I want better visibility. The coloured heat shrink lengths and pull ties are a nice touch. I found that saving the clear plastic strip that covers the wire on arrival can be saved to stretch tightly around the wire on the reel again but I also take advantage of the holes already on the sides of the reel to lace the wire through.

Good thin hookup wire in PVC insulation
A good length of dual conductor 22 AWG wire in red/black PVC insulation. Conductors are multi-stranded and flexible. If you ever soldered wires with PVC insulation before, you know what to expect - must be careful to not overheat it, otherwise the insulation will shrink back. The color marking is essential for applications involving polarized signals or DC voltage. This wire is pretty thin and will not be able to pass much current without heating up. The suggested safe maximum for power transmission through 22-gauge wire is 0.92 Ampere. This limitation applies irregardless of voltage, be that 2 Volts or 200 Volts. For that reason, you need to take some of the suggested product applications with a grain of salt. For example, a full length of LED strip light may draw about 2 Ampere of current, which is twice the limit for this gauge of wire. Large transformers? Size does not matter, current and voltage limitations do. You could use this wire for small audio speakers hookup, large speakers and especially subwoofer will require much thicker wires. Thin long wires introduce signal loss, and may marginally increase distortion. As with anything, this wire also has a number of applications for which its specifications are more than sufficient. If you know what you are doing, and stay within safe limits of current and voltage, it will serve the intended purpose well.

Auffallend gut gemacht

18 Gauge Beats and 20 Gauge Meets the Specs
This wire is well made and well packaged. But I was curious as to why they would tin speaker wire, as tinning is usually do to protect the copper from corrosive environments. Speakers are not usually in corrosive locations, tin costs about 4 times what tin does on a volumetric basis - a but more on a weight basis, and tin has MUCH higher electrical resistance than copper. So I set out to measure resistance. The news is good! Their specs say 30 ohms per kilometer for 18 gauge. On 100 feet of wire, one of my meters bounced between 0.7 and 0.8 ohms, and the other one settled at 0.8. Calling it 0.8 translates to 26 ohms per kilometer. That is more than 10% better than spec, so a pass there. FYI, the resistance of 100 feet of 18 gauge stranded copper (no tin) wire would be 0.65 ohms. So while the tin does increase the resistance of the wire, it's not enough to worry about in my mind. It is like adding about 12% to the wire length. If that concerns you, you can always use the next size up.The 20 gauge not as impressive, but still met the claimed resistance. They claim 50 ohms per kilometer, and I got 49 ohms per kilometer. 20 gauge pure copper would be 34 ohms per kilometer, so you might want to go one size higher, in a situation where you might normally use 20 gauge pure copper.
