Taveners Cara Mints

I completely had forgotten about this special candy until I happened to find Taveners candies on Amazon. The candy is rather expensive but I had to have it. I'm glad I did. Although caramel flavor is slightly less flavorful than It did about 40 yrs ago, it still tastes delicious as well balanced caramel taste and mint.

Thought this old fashioned candy would have the same texture and taste. Not impressed!

Flavor was off from what I expected but texture was good

Tavener’s Caramint drops were a staple of our stocking gift haul as far back as I can remember, so I was thrilled to find they still make them! They’re nice - kind of creamy-sweet and mild and so nostalgic.

Oh how I wish I had gotten the tin pictured because that’s how I remember caramints. I received a different tin with caramint drops. They are almost all mint and light in color. They are still ok, but not creamy at all.

This is not the same as the Taverner’s Candy of the past. I was so disappointed with the taste and lost flavor of an exquisite caramel candy. Not even close to the genuine Cara Mint. Will never buy again!

My Mom when we were younger, used to buy a can at Christmas as a treat after dinner,These brought back great childhood memories, tastes just like they did 30- yrs ago,I ordered 4- more cans to give as stocking stuffers to my siblings, so they can have a great memory and smile onTheir face also!
