This fire ring arrived in 4 segments in a box (each quarter round is a different panel) and just needed assembly with the 8 (included) screws. The ring weighs about 30 pounds total, which isn't too heavy for the average person to move around even when fully assembled.We've just run it as a standalone ring for the moment (on it's own, it is not "smokeless"), but will be building and installing this as a smokeless core this coming summer.Looks like a fine product, heavy-duty, will likely work great, zero issues here.

Was easy to set up rock formation for this item. No problem with rust thus far. Definitely worth the price of saving time and money rather than purchasing other fire pits.

The ring, itself it nice. The quality seems to be solid and it has visual appeal.I still haven't been successful in producing the "smokeless" part. I've attempted to make sure the fire was large and hot enough, and have even tried pushing the fire logs towards the outer perimeter to ensure proper heating of the chamber. Still haven't been successful with the secondary burn feature.I may end up altering my pit design and foregoing the "smokeless" aspect in favor of better ventilation/airflow along with a larger pit depth. I'm satisfied with the insert as "non-smokeless", since it is nicer than the one I had previously, but not sure I can recommend this as "smokeless", currently.

So far I’ve only assembled it. I haven’t yet built the actual stone ring it will sit on. The four pieces fit together almost seamlessly. All the predrilled screw holes lined up perfectly, which quite surprised me.Material is very solid and sturdy.Will update after the first few firesUpdate:I've built a number of fires and they burn great, but so far I haven't built a big enough one to be able to truly see the effect of the holes in the fire ring. Not to mention my fires have been at night. To truly test this, I'll need to burn during daylight to test for smoke and air leakage around the stones and fire ring.

When assembling, do not fully tighten all of the screws until all 8 are in place. Doing so beforehand will make the final screws difficult to properly fit.You'll also need to build a large fire for this to produce less smoke. Start the fire before guests arrive. When the fire dies down smoke will increase.

Love the fire ring helps with smoke mostly and looks great.
