it dose not do a thing to stop dog from barking

Our young dog goes nuts whenever someone walks by walking their dog. I have tried both tones. I know our dog can hear it because she reacts, but it does not shut her up. I can usually get her to stop by fussing at her and calling her a “bad girl”. When she does shut up, i tell her she is a good girl and then give her some loving.

Had no confidence in such items, but thought lets give this a try. I can't hear anything, but I'm old so high frequencies are already outside of my range. Tried this with my dog inside and me out side with all windows and doors closed. My dog did not seem effected by the low or high setting as I tested my hearing of the unit. I was ready to call it junk when I brought it inside and did a short burst with the low setting which caused my dog to run. I gave some hugs, scratches, and apologized to the poor dog.Next I tried it on the neighbor dogs, yes the main reason for the purchase. Low setting at 50 yards seem to give no effect. However there was a pause in the barking with the high setting. Each bark was meet with a short burst of the high level. Eventually, and shortly there after the barking stopped. A few hours later the exchange stopped the barking with only a couple presses. WOW!!!Do not use when you are around non-barking dogs, like when walking your own.
