BOTH KNIVES ARE RAZOR SHARP & IMPRESSIVE STYLING
I have both the 7 inch chef's knife and the 8 inch carving knife. My first impressions and first use are all positive. I used the chef's knife to finely cut up and chop an onion and it did a great job on a wood cutting board. The slight curvature of the edge is just right for that task. The 8 inch carving knife is just the right size for a roast or a turkey & the super sharp blades make using them a pleasure.I find the weight and balance of both knives to be good and the blade tang goes all through the handle & the handle material appears to be very durable and easily cleaned. However I do not know how the handles are secured as there are no visible rivets.Just above the cutting edge there is a row of oval indentations to prevent food from sticking to the blade. So far I am pleased with these knives & fairly satisfied that they will last for a long time.I also think either one would make a fine gift & they come in a gift quality box, all of which above would be appreciated by your favorite chef IMHO.

A Very Nice Knife
This has proven to be a very nice knife for kitchen use. At first I was curious as to how it would perform and what the craftsmanship may be like but I was pleasantly surprised by both. They say the damascus patterns are due to folding the layers of metal, though I am still not convinced that, for this price, it is not etched on however that really doesn't matter at this price point. The core of very good VG10 steel came out of the box extremely sharp and it performs cutting tasks very well, no need to sharpen before using as with some of the cheaper Chinese knives. The handle is comfortable and the weight, although a few grams heavier than my KAI nakiri, is comfortable for longer chopping sessions. Food doesn't stick to the sides in a troublesome way so I think this knife is a keeper and will serve the kitchen well.

Beautiful 'damascus' and thick, full tang
I own a lot of kitchen knives, some German, some Japanese, and some cheapos. This knife falls into the former categories with impressive quality. For me, a thick and stiff blade prevents deflections and less cut fingers (even the cheap German knives have caused some injuries).Edge is very good out of the box. I could do without the blue accent between the tang and grip, but I'll grow into it eventually. I need to determine the blade angle for future sharpening (nevermind - instructions tell me 12 degrees (per side) - which is pretty low, so need to be careful), but so far impressed. If it continues to take a good edge, this could be one of my favorites.Reading more about angles indicates a water stone is best at this low angle. Also, because of the angle it may tend to chip so again - treat it well and it will return the favor.

Super sharp
This knife is beautiful and has a lighter more balanced feel than my other knives. It is very sharp and very well made. It comes fully protected in a nice blue box, perfect for gift giving. Don’t forget to add a penny for good luck if you give it as a gift. I am very impressed with the quality, the weight and the overall appearance. I have my knives on a magnetic strip on my kitchen wall, and this one will not only work well but look good while doing it. Very happy with this knife and its potential, I’m so tired of false promises but this one has it all, nothing false going on here.

Don’t care for pricing strategy!
First, I received this as a Vine member and we pay full income tax on the full “value” of the product. At the time I got this, it was 119.99 but there was a 50% coupon. Today it’s on sale for 79.99 but there’s a $20 coupon. I would easily have skipped this over because of that (it sat for longer than normal, trust me) but I’ve been spending a lot of time in another city where family moved from across country leaving most everything behind. So here we are….Items that play these pricing games are often not taken, probably as a boycott to the stupidity of it. You’re not fooling anyone and anyone can see how competitive products are priced. In fact, I have a beautiful Damascus knife at my primary residence. It wasn’t 119.99. Dropped a star due to this. Some might say that I still got a deal on this knife, and I did, but my agreement (and it is work to do Vine) is to give my honest review. I would be remiss to not tell you it’s not a $120 knife just on a killer deal, so that’s what I’m doing! The knife is beautiful. Not quite as black looking as listing photos, which I was happy about actually. It’s well made and seems balanced nicely. Nice to hold.It cuts well and is very sharp! I can’t say yet how long that will last but I would update if it seems too quick. It did not come with a sheath so I had to get one. I wish all knives, especially sharp ones, came with one. The box it came in is nice but I don’t store my knives in the box. Not handy enough.Just price it correctly - or even relatively in the ballpark - and it would have gotten 5 stars.

Highest quality
This is made of one of the best metals g10 and it has a full solid tang. Nothing will break on it. It is beautiful with many folds of Damascus. Cuts very well. Worth the price I highly recommend

Super sharp, feels good in the hand.
Reviewing FINTISO Chef Knife 8 inch, I am tired of replacing my knives every year, so I’ve made a pact with myself to start ordering high quality kitchen knives that are worth sharpening so they last longer. This fit the bill. It’s a great size for cutting meat and large squash. It can cut nearly any fresh food, but it is too large for me to comfortably use it for smaller vegetables. It’s sharp, so you should be careful with the blade. The grip is comfortable to hold and the design on the blade sides is a nice touch. As a normal home user, I love this knife.

Very nice quality chef knife.
The quality of this chef knife is really good. It comes packaged well and has a nice premium feel to it. The blade is very sharp and easily passes the paper slicing test. The handle is also done very well and I really like this material. The handle and blade are also nicely matched and smoothed out where they meet. The blade looks awesome and does look like it’s the real deal. It cuts and handles very well.I definitely recommend this knife.
