Avantree Oasis Plus 2 - Bluetooth TV Transmitter with Remote Volume

Needed something so I could link my DFS Cine sofa to my Samsung TV without the awful loss of sound that Samsung imposes on non Samsung products. This did the trick, it’s easy to setup and links to the sofa via Bluetooth whilst still connected via optical cable to my original surround sound system. I’ve got to turn the sound down on the original surround sound otherwise I get an echo effect. It also incorporates a boost switch that makes the sound go even louder. Bit pricey for what it is but worth the money.

Only got this today and it works great. I no longer need my ancient optical to aux transmitter...I can just connect using optical. The remote control is great as with my old bluetooth transmitter the sound was fixed so I couldn't change it.

Great value for money, does exactly what it says it does, easy to set up. So no issues there. There are a couple of things to note, which are not the fault of the device but you should know about before you get disappointed and think you have to return it becuase you might assume the tranmitter is faulty. Check that your headphones have Aptx. I assumed that my Sony noise-cancelling headphones would have it but they don't so there is a small lag issue. It's not enough to notice if you are watching the TV on its own with just the headphones on, everything seems to match up very well and i don't notice any lag in that situation, however if you're watching it with your headphones and other people in the room have the soundbar on, there is a slight echo, the sound comes out of the soundbar before it comes out of your headphones. So you will need noise cancelling on and the volume up to try and mitigate this. Maybe changing my headphones will eliminate the problem completely, but that sounds like an expensive thing to try only to find out that it's got something to do with physics and the speed of sound and it's not a transmitter issue at all. The other thing to take into account is that the signal is very strong. Yesterday I spent ages trying to fix my phone including resetting the bluetooth function and repairing it, because my phone kept dropping the connection to my headphones within seconds. I thought my phone was broken. It turned out that I'd left the transmitter switched on in the living room and despite being in the kitchen, my headphones were dropping the connection to my phone and reconnecting with the transmitter. You can tune out the slight echo once you get used to it, so I'd describe it as more of a niggle rather than an annoyance. So like I say, not exactly faults with the transmitter, but just something you might want to be aware of, all in all it's a great solution for TVs that no longer have a 3.5mm jack for people who want to use headphones.

Like - connected to my 2 Sony SRS-XB100 speakers via A2DP (finally - after weeks of searching for a compatible BT transmitter!). No detectable latency when linked to TV (via supplied Optical/Toslink cable - 3.5mm cable also included as an alternative). Easy to set up and use. Also connected to my BOSE OE Sound link headphones. Needs power via supplied USB. Good range - able to pick up signal out in the garden and volume is strong and easily controllable via supplied remote. Note other reviewer's comments about potentially outpiwering their phone's BT output....Worth the extra money - good sound and speakers pair automatically when switched on. Dislike - difficult to find out which BT transmitter brands are compatible without checking all the small print about BT protocols. Not helpful!

This gadget has been a great help to me as I was having a problem trying to hear all the dialogue in movies and such even with headphones on. Now everything is clear as a bell I do not even have to use the extra booster on device.

Great connectivity. Not suitable though if you can detect the slight sync delay between screen (viewable speech) and the actual sound. I've not found any Bluetooth that does not have a delay that I can perceive and these are, to me, no different. My partner, slightly deaf, uses this to have her own controllable volume level in their headphones and either does not notice the delay or is not bothered by it. Convenient if you have a noisy air conditioning unit running in the background so you can use personal hearing equipment.

Doesn't connect via Bluetooth so completely useless

I got this device to hear the sound from my TV more clearly without annoying my family with a louder TV output sound due to my hearing problem. The sound from the optical connection of your TV is not transmitted from this device at the same time as the output speaker of your TV, hence there is a slight lag and if you can hear both the TV speakers and the bluetooth ear buds, it can get very annoying hearing the sound echo. If you close both ears with a Bluetooth soundprpof headset, it is ok, but if you are using Bluetooth hearing aids or TWS ear buds, you either have to focus the sound on the media and less on the hearing aid part, or remove the hearing aid and only listen and hear the ear buds. Best is to switch off the sound from your hearing aid to not hear the TV sound and put Bluetooth earbuds inside the ears to only hear the optical sound from the device. It does look like you are viewing and listening to a dubbed movie due to the delay in receiving the sound from the device. I expected the sound to be more in sync from a high quality device like this, but it does what it is supposed to do otherwise. Also, if the device had a rechargeable battery to not be totally reliant on USB power, it would also be very handy for flexibility and for the optical cable that is short, to reach the TV and not need additional plugs or extensions to give it power.

Es un buen transmisor se pueden conectar dos auriculares con facilidad y modular el volumen individualmente. Nos ha ido de fábula.

Werkt prima, doet precies wat ik wilde hebben. Ik ben er dik tevreden mee.
