Very disappointed. Although it seems sturdy, it isn’t nearly as nice as the pictures. The pattern in the Damascus steel isn’t nearly as distinct, and the overall finish of the piece leaves a lot to be desired. There are some rough edges on the steel parts of the hilt, like the finish grinding wasn’t done carefully or completely, and overall just doesn’t seem like very high quality. Definitely would not buy again.

Doesn't seem well-balanced and the blade seemed small for the length of the knife. Returned it, but it does look cool, sort of.

The unit that I did receive was somewhat better that I had expected. The blade had a few degrees of bend with you view it down the center. I did not try to fix that since I don't wand to snap it off. One spot on the blade near the guard was some discoloration. I smacked some firewood around with the blade and there was no damage to the blade. I did not beat it as hard as they do with the chopping test as seen on "Forged In Fire",but I came pretty close.

A novelty, exactly as expected. Hard to use but what’re you expecting with a lightning bolt pattern, looks cool

Only setback is that the blade is very susceptible to rust. I live in Hawaii, so I’m no stranger to corrosion, but if you live somewhere dry it shouldn’t be an issue.

I treated it with instant coffee to darken the pattern as it wasn't very pronounced. It's a cool looking blade, the sheath is a bit small for it, the fittings on the handle are sharp and need some work. Overall a bit rough on the edges of the lightning pattern.
