It's adequate, I like the size.
It's adequate, that's all I can say. If you are not expecting much this will work. It's cheaply made, kind of flimsy but I only need it to hold some recipes. It's a good size, holds 4x6 cards and is slender, it doesn't take up much room, I liked that as well. For around $5.00 I feel it's worth it.

Large index card holder
Wonderful card holder! I make notes for my studies. I just use a tabby to organize. But so nice to be able to have a holder! I do recommend this product.

Nice
This is nice. It’s a little flimsy. It doesn’t shut and stay closed tightly. I don’t think it would be great for travel. If you are keeping it in one place and don’t plan on moving it around, it does the job!

It's not much of a card file, for not much money. OK deal.
It's a very minimal 3x5 index card file. I bought it to use as a backup password manager. It is time consuming to keep this dual code system but a real gamechanger and time saver when something goes wrong with your password app. *heed Murphy's Law* I have a printer at hand. So, to update a password, I just open a website's 3x5 MS Word password file, change the login credentials, recovery code & anything else pertinent, change the revision date in the file name to the current date, print a copy for my index card file, save the new file in my secure cloud vault and delete the old file. Be sure to delete with a destructive delete app or empty the trash can. Old passwords have power and shouldn't be left in the trash. They can sometimes be used as an identifier to gain account access. The card file has no latch, per se, just a raised plastic catches, lid to body, in front (integral part of the box) that don't hold well. I keep it closed with a thick rubber band to avoid playing 52 Card Pickup every time it gets tipped over (it's lightweight and tips easily). There are no hinges, just a polyethylene strip that join the lid and body (it's all a one piece LDPE extrusion). I expect the (not) hinges to fail inside of a year. I bought some nice Pendaflex colored plastic alphabet index tabs to keep the file organized but found that the card file is too short. There's only enough room for a skoch over 3" in height, so the nice tabs have to lay at a bit of an angle to fit. Considering the price of metal, or more solid plastic card files, this is a good deal. There are cigar boxes that seem practically designed to be 3"x5" and 4"x6" index card files (sorry, I don't recall the brands) but they seem to be in short supply and smoke shops now all seem to want to be paid for their formerly discarded packaging.

Not like they used to be
Bought one of these 25 years ago for my grocery lists and coupons. Busted the lid off and not repairable. Purchased this one I thought was a duplicate. Not as sturdy as the previous on I owned. Hope it lasts.

Not What I Expected
It's a good product. Simple, does what it needs to, sturdy. However, asthetically it is not appealing to look at. It's bigger than I thought (which is, admittedly, good). It holds way more than I couldn't imagine. However, it just doesn't look good on my desk. It holds my note cards, and does what it needs to.If you have an eye for simplicity, this is a fine product. However, if you prefer the finer things in life: keep looking.

Don't waste your money
Disappointingly cheap. It's flimsy plastic and as long as you don't use it for anything you can get it to shut. Started putting index cards in, and it won't let lid shut correctly. It's warped and worthless.

Could have bought this from the dollar store!
Could have bought this from the dollar store! I made the mistake of thinking it came with the cards as well, I misread. Bought 2 of these and paid over $30. It’s worth $2. Save your money and go to the dollar store instead, I am sure that’s what this seller did and is reselling on Amazon. Don’t waste your money, very overpriced!!!

A bit cheap
The lid does not align nicely and requires extra manipulation when attempting to close; you can't just push down on the lid because it doesn't meet up every time. The box itself seems sturdy enough. The lid is heavier than the bottom so the whole box tips backwards when it's open (when empty or not weighed down enough). What was nice (despite not being necessary for my use) was that there are little divider lines in the bottom to help with sorting.

Long wait for a poor product.
It was a vert long wait for the item. Given the price I thought it it would be a good quality product. I could have avoided the wait and purchased a similar item for less than one quarter the price at any discount store.

False advertising - would not recommend
I wouldn’t recommend it. First of all, definitely listen to other reviews and pay attention to the sizing because I’m not even sure if this will work for the purpose I need it for. Secondly, I definitely should have paid attention to the description. I expected for $16 or would have come with the cards and it didn’t. Pretty disappointed with what I received.

Coffret
Acheté pour mes fiches de recettes. Il est de la bonne grandeur mais le couvercle ferme mal. Je ne pense pas qu’il dure longtemps.
