Good voice quality, mute button convenient and no background noises!

Despite me returning this item for one particular reason I cannot stress how good the audio recording quality is, truly worth it! BUT, the issue I had was the red LED light that indicates the microphone is on, is VERY bright and extremely distracting whilst gaming/live-streaming. Back to this topic, the other reason for return was the ‘mute microphone’ button, upon pressing this button there is a very stiff click sound that is picked up before muting which caused me a little hassle, other than that incredible mic.

I bought this as I'm wfh and I didn't want to have a headset for my teams meeting but I did want the ability to quickly mute my mic or have a button to do this as I often was doing other things during the meeting so my focus wasn't on the teams window. I'm impressed with this little mic, its very good, pics up my vocals good and the button is great for muting me or un-muting when I want to contribute. My only gripe,but I'm not knocking a star for it, is that it doesn't control the mute icon on teams which initially made me wonder if the mute button worked but it does and I just need to remember to not join meetings with the mic icon disabled and then start with the mute button off - no light is off light is on. Haven't used it with anything else, its purely for work but I would purchase again.

This works great, I do a lot of video editing and often have clients ask if I can do a screen share call with voice so I decided to pick this up. Worked the moment I plugged it in and audio quality is perfect for its intended purposes. I wish the cable was longer as I use a desktop PC under my desk but for those with laptops or for those who have their system on the desk the cable will be plenty long enough.

Microphone pick up is much better than webcam microphone which is why I bought this. The microphone is quite direction dependent and does need to be quite close and pointing right towards my mouth to be good. It has a long lead so this is easily achievable though. Just thought with the foam head it would be more sensitive.

I bought this as I had a 'Zoom' job interview coming up and the speaker on my laptop is fairly quiet. My partner's family live in France and she Skype calls them every week, so we thought it would be worth buying. As long as you are a reasonable distance from the speaker this works well. One of the best features, is that you can plug it in the USB socket and (for me at least) it worked without any installation or issues. Even if my laptop dies I can plug into a new computer. Even post-pandemic I'm sure video calling is going to because a more common part of everyday life, so I thought it would be worth being prepared for this. The quality of the speaker seems reasonable and I was happy with the price. This is at the lower and of the market, so if you are after very high quality sound input, it might be worth spending a little more.

So this is a mixed review. On one hand it does work as a microphone for stand alone recording. But.... I wanted a microphone to enhance the sound on the multiple Teams meetings I do these days. For some reason the sound volume keeps defaulting to "0" and so no-one can hear me. I assume this is a driver issue. I have tried various fixes in the control panel but to no avail. I don't know if it is a Teams issue or a manufacturer issue, but I can't find a way to fix it. Otherwise it would be 5 stars, but I can't award this if it doesn't do what i want it to do.

Works better than I thought it would for the price. I keep it plugged in to my desktop, and when I want to search by voice I just click the microphone icon and speak. This microphone picks up my voice accurately, and I don't even have to get close to it. It is very sensitive. It is flexible and easy to position. I like it.
