Great Pair of Pruning Shears to Add to Your Gardening Toolkit
This review is for the Fondwell 6.5" Pruning Shears Trimming ScissorsOverall: 5 StarsThese pruning shears are useful for smaller trimming efforts and are well designed for that. The blades are sharp and they scissor together without gaps that some lower quality/lower cost variants can have that reduce their ability to make clean cuts. I toyed with these to see if I could cause that issue, but wasn't able to without potentially breaking the shears. That indicates to me that the blades of the shears won't lose the close tolerance that gives them the clean cuts that they provided right out of the package. The locking mechanism is a simple slide located between the handles that you move down (away from the blades) to unlock and up to lock. The locking mechanism is firm, though being made of plastic, it might loosen over time and use. I like how easy the locking mechanism works and how it's not positioned where you could inadvertently cause them to unlock if you weren't meaning to. The handles themselves are shorter than my larger hands could use, and I initially thought that would be a problem, but the handles felt surprisingly good, not like they were toys. The rubber grip on the handles is a nice touch, and makes being able to keep a good grip on them possible. The difference between the straight blades and the curved blades might not be something that you'll care about, but for those that do, it's nice to have the option.Overall, I'm very impressed with this pair of shears - especially for the price. They seem to be a great value!

Sharp
I've experimented with a few of these garden shears. They start off pretty good, but within a short period of time the plastic mechanism holding the shears together breaks and they don't stay closed. I wear a little tool belt so it doesn't work for me to have them open like that unless I don't mind my skin being sliced or stabbed every now and then when I bend down. I'll report back on these. They don't feel really solid, but the shears are very sharp and do a good job of cutting.

Great deal
The photo is to compare the pruning shears I regularly use to prune/cut my garden herbs. I've been using them for the last two years and they are starting to get a bit dumbed up so I figured I would get another set when I found these. Pretty much identical but a 2-pack for $12 (they just dropped to $9 just before I was writing this review).Good for pruning herbs and delicate plants indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend them for your garden or kitchen.

PERFECT SIZE FOR PRUNNING SMALL PLANTS AND CONGESTED TREE BRANCHES, GOOD FIT IN THE HAND
Fondwell 6.5" Prunning Shears/Garden Snips With Micro Tip - These shears are nicely fitted together, and as you'd expect, the blades are sharp and close cleanly. It's comfortable in the hand and has an easy to engage and release the safety latch. The blades are stainless, and very slim so it's easy to maneuver in tight places. Getting a pair of these shears for the listed price is a real bargain.

My Fiskars loyalty is being tested...
I am a big loyalist to Fiskars gardening tools. My favorite is the Fiskars Curved Micro-Tip Pruning Snips which are very well designed. These Fondwell shears are also nice, but very basic and traditional. They are symmetric, so they can be used in both left and right hands easily. I'll update this review if there is any additional feedback I have after constant use.The main difference between Fondwell and Fiskars for me is my experience with warranty replacements. I have several claims with Fiskars, and all of them have been handled well assuming there is still an equivalent item they can send me. No problems, but some follow up and dilligence on my part. I have no experience with Fondwell.

Sharp!
These pruning shears are just what I needed for trimming my potted plants and the vines growing outside my house. I was able to easily trim pretty much everything under a 1/3in. These are definitely good for smaller plants and new growth. Very pleased.
