Apple 2017 iMac with Intel Core i5, 21.5-inch, 8GB RAM, 1TB Storage - Silver (Renewed)

Very happy with my purchase. The computer arrived well packed and in pristine condition. The mouse and keyboard are aftermarket and not too thrilling, but the iMac itself is gorgeous and totally usable. As a lifelong PC user, I'm impressed with the longevity of the Macs, as well as the quality. I was easily able to upgrade to the latest operating system.The computer is a little slow at 8GB of memory, but they are upgradable. Unfortunately with the 21.5 inch models, it's very involved and akin to performing surgery since the memory modules are underneath everything else. If I had known that, I would have gone with the 27 inch model, which are easily upgradable via a back hatch. Too bad the 21.5 doesn't have that feature. Other than that, it's a beautiful and useful computer, even 5 years after its release date.

The media could not be loaded. Update. Upgraded operating system to Monterey. Took a few tries but so worth it!! Can install apps and love the updated features . It’s like a new computer at fraction of the price. Maybe not the fastest but good enough for me. Great deal on this 2017 Mac. Overall I’m very happy with it. New to Mac so still learning. The screen is gorgeous. Can’t install apps due to the older IOS, not sure if it could be upgraded to later one. I’m not super techie or a gamer so it does everything I need it to do. I can have several windows open at a time and it’s pretty fast. But then coming from a 2009 dell it’s a huge upgrade(which still works fine, just too outdated). The only thing is every once in a while it bogs down and I have to do a restart or shut down and then it’s fine. Could be something I’m doing, not sure. Oh and I like the keyboard and mouse, works great for me. I especially like the smaller size of the keyboard. I’ve actually been telling people about what a great deal I got on this computer so yeah I’m happy!!

I bought this renewed iMac (2017 1080p 1TB) as a family computer because I saw it going for a good price and it was advertised to look like new. It came without any scratches and it definitely looks like it came straight from the Apple Store. The speakers sound great and the screen quality isn't as sharp as I would like it to be, but the colors still pop and it's great to watch videos on. There's also plenty of storage space for us to store pictures without having to turn to the subscription-based cloud storage services. Of course since this is a Mac, it won't run many games on Steam but I had luck playing league of legends and Sims 4 without running into any issues.The drawback with this model is that switching between users is SLOW. Also if you're booting up the computer after shutting it down, It feels like torture sitting in a chair looking at a black screen for 3 minutes waiting for it to startup. My MacBook could do this same task almost instantly. After boot up and letting the iMac connect to the WiFi though, it works really well and I really value the Apple ecosystem for how it syncs with my iPhone and iPad easily.It's not the best iMac you can buy, but if your needs consist of web browsing, streaming video, text editing, and online shopping? This is seriously such a good value for your money. If you're expecting flagship performance with instant boot up times, high-performance gaming, and near-instant app switching then this is sadly not the one for you. Go for an SSD storage model w/ a better graphics card.

I enjoy this 2017 Mac Desktop everyday. Great for music, internal speakers are awesome. I needed a better computer during the current pandemic, and this was a great buy. For work, it's awesome for storing tons of files, being that it has 800 gigs, or I think it does lol.Now, there are some momentary crashes on apps that will happen (imovie, garageband, itunes). For example, high res games like Asphalt 9, is almost too fast. It won't allow you to play at all, at least in my experience. You can make reports to Apple on this bug/crash situations, but afterwards there's nothing much you can do.Overall, I love the sleek design, and light weight nature of it. Keyboard and mouse work great, and I had no issues transferring all of my data from my old mac, into this one. Internet speed is awesome, and did I mention that Garageband 10 is killer smooth? I'm a musician, and I was delighted that I could connect my Spider V30 to this computer. You may have to figure out the best audio options for your sound, because with Mac, you can't escape white noise lol!!All I can say is, the ultimate buy for 700 bucks. I don't know how much it is now, but you won't regret buying it if you can't afford any other expensive models.

Computer came out of the box with a keyboard and mouse and power cable. Good condition really, as a birthday present to my sister. But it was such a disappointment. The computer logged into a “Test Account” with a password unknown to us. Didn’t have the option to go into settings or reset it so I’m trying to return it and get my money back to just buy a brand new one. The return process is a headache and I had to buy a brand new box and packing supplies to get the ups to come. However each time they come its during the weekday when im at work and I need to be there for them to pick it up, can’t just drop it off myself or leave it outside. Now three business days have passed and there’s no button to cancel the return process and redo it to schedule a day I can take off from work just to be there for ups to take it.Would appreciate it next time if these computers came ready to use out the box

I love it so much, it came yesterday and I can’t get over it. And it’s quite fast for it being from 2017. I say when you DO wait, it’s only from 30 seconds to a minute which isn’t bad for being the prince at what is it. Trust me when I say you won’t be complaining about this. But again, all I wanted it for was fort writing and YouTube. But overall, it’s amazing. The only thing that he came with a little tiny dent, most do but that’s nothing. If it works IT WORKS. So it won’t lose any stars from it. take it cause it’s amazing. Especially since I got it in 2025.
