Sturdy, but a few issues
I waited over a month for the extra large Heavy Duty cart. Then when I clicked on the link in the shipment notification email, I was shocked to find that the price had dropped $6, but I was still charged the original price of a month ago. When I called up, I was told that it's Amazon's policy to only honor price drops within 7 days of ORDERING an item. Seriously?! I wait a MONTH for an item and you're not going to give me the price it is when you ship it? Luckily, the CSR gave me a 'promotional credit' which I can use the next time I make a purchase on Amazon (which is perfectly fine), because otherwise I would have just re-ordered it, and refused shipment on the original one. That's ridiculous!Anyway... moving on, I'm happy with the sturdiness and size of the cart, it's huge. The only 2 things I'm not happy with are...1. The hand cushion on the part you hold to push is made out of cheap plastic and if that wasn't bad enough, it wasn't even attached to the metal. It slides all over the place. I'm assuming it's SUPPOSED to be glued on, but it's not.2. When I opened the box, 2 little pieces of plastic fell out. I had no idea what they were and they didn't seem to go anywhere. When I was done assembling everything, I thought, gee, I wish there was a latch to hold the cart together when it's not in use, like my old cart had. Then when I went to throw out the box, out tumbled the rest of the plastic latch, which those 2 odd little pieces of plastic I had found originally belonged to. It broke in shipping. I'm sorta stuck now, because I can't order a replacement part, the only option I have is to return the whole thing and get a replacement, which, in that big box is WAY more trouble than it's worth. Very disappointed about that...

Better than the average cart on the market right now
The cart arrived well within the time frame of the of the free shipping option and I was able to assemble it in under 15 minutes, using only a pair of pliers (for the cotter pins on the rear axle) and a small hammer to pound on the plastic caps that cover the handle frame where the front axle gets assembled. As the front axle is assembled with push-on clips, I do not want this left open, which might allow the push pins come loose and fall out causing the front axle to come apart. These rounded-end, oblong caps seem to be a reasonable necessity to the design, as from this perspective, these caps should be installed to prevent the clips from falling out. Remember, Murphy is an optimist. Even so, they fit so tightly that I could not get them on by hand. I did not break a single acrylic nail in the assembly. This cart has a much sturdier feel to it, and uses much better hardware, basic materials and wheels, than the top-line, "heavy duty", 150lb (68kg) rated cart I bought a little over a year ago - at almost twice the price - from the mega-retail outlet whose name I shall not use, which literally fell apart/broke, twice, within a year. The cart does roll fairly well, although it does seem to want to track to the left a bit, but it does handle 50 pounds, or so, of groceries fairly well, although the front wheels do tend to not deal well with sidewalk and pavement mismatches, requiring the cart to be tipped back a bit when loaded and going over rough pavement, sidewalk grids or encountering sidewalk cracks or mismatches much over 1/4" (6mm).I bought this cart with the liner, which was a disappointment from the viewpoint of the fabric it was made from and the way it was constructed. I would suggest that one just buy the cart and then get a liner from a local retailer, where you can look at the quality, construction, fabric and details of the liner prior to purchase. Also, I have had to get a pair of Velcro straps (I used the kind designed to bundle computer/stereo cables) to keep the cart folded, with the cover in place, while traveling on buses and BART with the empty cart - as the folding clip will not work with the liner in place. A minor peccadillo. Better than average cart so far - a major concern when age, infirmity and eyesight takes one from being a "two-car" family to a being a "two cart" family - who travels exclusively by BMW (BART,MUNI, WALKING). Even so, this is a large cart and must frequently be taken in by the rearward doors, or lifted through the narrow entry way, on many buses in my area, as it is too wide to go through the front of many of the Van Hool buses being used by AC Transit in the East Bay area or the older cable buses on MUNI, in San Francisco.

Great cart but are the fumes safe?
I live on the 4th floor of an apartment and finally got tired of lugging up groceries up the elevator, which is two doors and a hallway away from my car, not so convenient! Plus my boyfriend and I do laundry on the 2nd floor, and it would be nice to wheel the clothes down the elevator vs. 1 or 2 trips by stairs.I found the Trimmer Extra Large Shopping Cart, Red here on Amazon. I opted for the extra large red cart over the large cart because it was only a few dollars more and I didn't want to take a chance of getting it home and it not able to hold a load of groceries, or a few loads of laundry. It arrived in a HUGE box! About 5'H x 3'W x 5"D. I was so excited to open it and try it out. The first thing you'll notice is the smell, eww! What is that?! The wheels are made of some kind of industrial rubber that stinks to high-heaven! It smells toxic like fresh rubber and glue. It filled up my apartment the first couple of days, but over the last week or so it has dissipated some and I only smell it within a few feet of the wheels. My boyfriend wants to get rid of it, but it's been so helpful he's still torn. I'm thinking of rubbing the wheels with some cleaning solutions to clean them.I read the reviews and knew I was going to have to assemble the wheels. After you get off all the sticky tape they use to keep it together (they really need to think about using zip tabs or those things you hold your cords together with). The tape leaves a sticky residue and fingernail polish doesn't get it off. Might have to try some Goo-B-Gone.And the reviews weren't kidding, the instructions are literally translated (badly) from Japanese or Mandarin. The left column is in one language and the right column is in English. And they do not make sense whatsoever, i.e. "Take Mandrel 1 to add two wheels both to ends." That means add the wheels to both ends of the bar. You get a diagram photo, so that helps the most. Don't get discouraged like I did. Take your time and everything will make sense. You won't need any tools really, you're just layering washers then springs then more washers then the wheel then more washers then locking them in place with pins. It's just locking them into place while working with the springs that can get frustrating, and a little comical. At one time I was about the fasten the last big wheel, the spring popped out of my hand and all of the wheels and washers came flying off! Once you get them fastened, the wheels hold on just fine. Now get rolling! Word to the wise, don't forget the clasp lock that comes attached to the cart. It's a little black plastic clasp that holds the cart closed. My BF didn't notice it and he broke it on day 1 trying to open the cart. He's a self-proclaimed neanderthal anyways, never gentle on anything, grabs then thinks, so I was expecting it. So just be careful. And I also learned it's a lot easier to turn the cart if you wheel it on the back wheels instead of all four wheels, so keep that in mind when you're on the go.Overall, this is a great cart, it wheels along very nicely, not too heavy, but sturdy. I took off two stars for the awful smell and confusing instructions. But that may not bother you, so go for it!
